Another good thing about the larger MP-1 version(s) is that he scales better with 3 3/4" figures. Kind of nice if you want a generic '80s toy character display, along with some GI Joes, etc.

I've still got the TRU version (w/custom stacks), and I've got him up on a shelf with a couple Beast Wars toys (Telemocha Optimus Primal and the original Megatron in beast mode), a Marvel Legends Sentinel, an old Super Powers Batman and a few other figures - they all look great together.

I don´t have any of those.
I´ll just combine em, with the best of my G1´s, like Powermaster Prime and Dreadwing and my recently bought, like the Classics Galvatron and TRU MP Rodimus.
I just want a nice little shelve with TF´s.
I´m just so glad I´m getting this.
I can´t stop looking at pics of this guy...

Will sure love this trio too and I think too that MP-01 is more accurate and I don´t need the trailer. I want the robot and I´m glad that I´m finally getting it.

Goodness, you guys are making me want MP-01 AGAIN... sheesh!

I'd like to see them do it more often as I prefer that style to their usual Classicsverse approach.

Also, it's nice to see you posting here, I often look at your pics at TFW.

Absolutely. WELL done G1 styled toys from a 3rd party company? That's a completely untapped market, IMO.

It arrived.

To elaborate further I think I made an impulse buy as I got carried away by the idea of owning a large scale G1 Wrecker.....which Assaulter is but the robot mode is very bland looking in either configuration, the alt modes are meh, the weapons look crap and the diecast legs cause a few balancing issues.

I'd been going off FansProject's style for a while but this kind of sealed the deal and I don't think I'll be buying anything else of theirs again....Chromedome is nice but my intrest had waned by the time the G1 Headmasters were released so I have no nostalgia for those characters.

If nobody here buys it I'll stick it on ebay and use the proceeds towards either,

iGear Cogz & Veer ( Gears looks perfect and the retool isn't bad either )
Fans Toys Quakewave ( Subject to final QC )
Mech Ideas Wrecking Crue ( The Jumpstarters were among my favorite G1 toys )

I've always wondered about that too.
As always fantastic pics and review of FP Chromedome. I'm tempted on Brainstorm as he and Fort max are the only original Headmasters that I'm attached to. But the completest in me probably wouldn't be satisfied.

I only got mine by doing the "pick up in store" option and even then those stupid featherpluckers just left it sitting out on a table for anyone to take. They didn't even check my receipt when I walked out the door with it.

In Canada? I hope so, but I doubt it. I still can't believe that this figure is marked as discontinued up here. A lot of us were out of luck. Just a real cluster**** of a situation. But the guys in the UK have it much worse so....

Received my MP Sideswipe today. First TF purchase in a year. What a fantastic figure. Yes, it's expensive for what it is but it's friggin awesome!
