Did you check out the voyager PK? I know size is too small but pretty cool.

Just came back from Walmart and found voyagers Springer, Blitzwing and Sandstorm. Idk why Walmart is charging $25 each and target and even Kmart has them cheaper

Yeah the voyagers not bad, but I prefer the bigger wingspan and size of the ultimate class figure. Would really like a figure of Hardshell though.

I plan on heading to target today, they had 2 in hand yesterday but I didn't have time to pick one up even tho they had it on hold for me. If its still there I may get it. I think I'm gonna return the Generations Springer, Sandstorm and Blitzwing. $29 each after tax is too much.

Ya I think that's the only one I wanna keep.

So I came back from target and the Ultimate Predaking was already sold out. But I did find a opener BH Ultra Magnus and Smokescreen.

I think one thread can't cover all transformers, it's too much going out, I think we need our own section.

??? Title states "All Things Transformers"

Oh you can read good for you.:pfft:

what I mean its tons of product that needs to be discussed without being quickly lost in the pages, the masterpiece line should have its own thread as well as third parties like TFC, make toys, fansproject, ect. Get where I'm going with it.

I'm there too, I think lol but I mostly read, but this going from forum to forum is exhausting, I go to Japan robot forums, sibertron, gunpla it gets strenuous. :lol

I pretty much only frequent the MP spec thread. Other than that, I do check out the news and new posts, but that's pretty much it. Don't have the time to scour that site with any sort of regularity!

I guess it's the same here, nowadays, heh. :)

At least around here, those Bumblebees were shelf warming everywhere and then disappeared as soon as the cartoon came out. That should be their new strategy to clear out pegs.

Ya same here, saw them all over the place hogging up the pegs. Now I cant find them after realizing this past week that I now wanted one :lol

Yeah, very good move on Hasbro's part. No doubt we'll see a new Smokescreen too... Kind of surprised they don't do this more often, though most of the "updated" Beast Hunters designs are pretty garish...

Does anybody knows about this one?
ULTIMETAL OPTIMUS PRIME from ART STORM.

I honestly don't see the appeal. Just looks like a bigger version of MP-01 to me, which is fine I guess, but I'm not really into statues.

It looks like it can move, but just not transform which to me is more than fine since I display all my transformers in robot mode and never really touch them, i don't think I've ever transformed my mp1.

I hear what you're saying, and I collect TFs much the same way as you, I suspect.

Still, the fact that they CAN transform is what makes them special. And how many Primes does one need? I would consider myself a fairly casual TF fan (in comparison to, say, most of the people who frequent TFW2005), and yet I've got plenty of Optimus Primes scattered about already... Even just the G1 incarnation.

And maybe I should actually get out my MP-01 and look at the two side-by-side, but this design seems to be nearly identical to it. I know that similarities are going to be unavoidable here, but I guess what I'm saying is, it looks like the sculptor just went out and got an MP-01 and copied it, more or less, rather than researching the source material and coming up with something really new and fresh, and yet accurate (kind of how like MP-10 is different from MP-01, for example). Just seems less special that way.

I dunno, am I way off-base in thinking that? Does anyone else get that vibe?

It's VERY close to the MP-01. But it's CLOSER to MP-10.

This is Based EXTENSIVELY on the Dreamwave, and IDW comic book takes on prime. Tire covers, and Boxy fuel tanks on the legs are part of the give-a-way. Also, his forearms are not Boxes, as necessitated by transformation restrictions. They kinda big in the middle, and taper back a little towards the wrists and elbows.

Speaking of elbows, he has double jointed elbows, and I suspect Double jointed knees.

He's going to be THE MOST Articulated Prime ever made.

Also, his big gimmic, and the reason he dosn't transform, is you can open up the pannels on his body to see his inner workings and pistons.

As for how many prime collectors need.....

There are people... who only collect prime..

So I just got this in my inbox from iGear:

Meh. Glad I sold those when I did.

$460 is a bit steep for these brand new, imo. I know it works out to Quakewave-ish prices each, but I'm not sure these are up to Quakewave standards. From what I hear he's awesome, even better quality than most (if not all) current MPs, but I've owned these and they're definitely not even up to MP-11 standards, so...

Oh yeah? I'll have to compare with my figures. Like I said, this was just the impression I was getting offhand.

I guess that's something. :)

Oh yeah, I know about these types of collectors. I can definitely see this appealing to some people, just not for me... but even then, I can't really see anyone going ga-ga over it. Didn't someone mention this was likely to be somewhere around $700 or 800+?

My buddy has a shelf that looks almost like that, he loves Optimus but doesn't collect just Optimus. I'm usually a character focused collector myself so I don't see anything wrong with it.

700-800 sounds about right. Granted, I'm not getting one, but it is REALLY cool.

I used to think getting Masterpiece Transformers, Sideshow 1/6th Joes and the odd Hot Toys figure meant that I was getting "high end" stuff.

After this, and reading about that Sideshow Starcraft Marine figure, I think I might have been mistaken... or at least companies are trying to redefine "high end" (when it comes to price, at least!). ;)

I just feel like saying this to all TF producing companies,

"CHANGE THE F'ING RECORD"

There is no version of that character that I would spend any more money on.
