Yeah, first thing is to paint Rhinox's eyes, then he's gettig a matte coat spray all over the rhino parts. Otherwise he'll be the only Maximal (if we count Dinobot as a Pred) who isn't chalky smooth to the touch in beast mode.
What brand of matte finish will you be using on MP. Rhinox?

If I remember correctly, you did a pretty killer custom paint job on the IT Dinobot KO.
Hey guys, quick question, if no one minds.

The Chosen Prime as a dealer. Do you get any kind of penalty charge for cancelling a pre-order with them? Trying to assess my options for the various Transformers related dealers out there

Thanks in advance guys
Looks as though they only charge a fee if you pre-paid or partially paid for an order. Doesn’t hurt to just shoot them an email and ask them for further clarification though.

My target’s got MPM-15 Brawl in stock but can’t sell them until the 21st.
Nice! I remember when I used to be on the hunt for figures at big box stores, I’d go to grab them on the street release date. The employees would sort of give me the side eye and almost reluctant to open up a case fresh box. I remember one lady pushing back on me saying she couldn’t sell me the figures yet (it was around the time of TF Prime); so, she walked up to the customer service with me and the figures I wanted like if I was trying to steal them, but changed her tune when they rang up just fine. She looked pretty mad though

I still need to get MPM Blackout and Bonecrusher. I was hopping for 3rd Party KO’s with nicer paint apps, but that doesn’t seem to be happening so much anymore with the MPM figures. All my current MPMs are the KOs by either BMB or WJ/Black Apple.

You are not missing out at all on Target, they have been having colossal inventory issues, not with transformers but with TMNT, Star Wars, Batman figures. What they do is that they have a worker stock up new inventory right off the truck, we see the next figures before the street date or usually after a street date and when I use the target app or scan it at the register I get an inventory not found.
I learned my lesson, that if I don’t have an alternate similarly price item, they will confiscate the figures and remove it from the shelf immediately.

Only two targets near me got Brawl, and they sold out within minutes after 7/21 midnight, I finally snagged one yesterday after finally waiting for the website to stock up their inventory. I used to go out hunting also, but these past few weeks put me over the edge. I had two chase Star Wars micro galaxy series 6 ships in hand and was shut down by the register helper at Target. It’s BS, but I did complain to a store manager and website feedback because I had a discount applied to my order that wasn’t canceled after I left, therefore the next person used my info, at least Target gave me a 20$ gift card because the service rep saw that I had brawl on my shopping cart at target.com LOL

Just got in MPM Brawl and have to say he is an incredible masterpiece figure! He’s on sale at Target for 15% off, plus I had a $10off coupon and an extra 5% for my red card making this too good of a deal to pass on.

I still need to get Blackout and Bonecrusher but as of right now, he’s the best official MPM I have. Absolutely love it. Really hoping we get an Optimus 2.0 for ROTF or DOTM as well as an ROTF Megatron

Got in MPM13 Blackout yesterday! He's a bit fiddley when it comes to the transformation but the results are awesome! Think I'll just take some panel liner to it to give it a bit more depth to all the nice sculpted detailing. Overall, very pleased this figure. Do I wish a 3rd Party would've taken this to town with some better paint apps like BMB used to do? Of course! But, the figure as a whole is incredible. It's sad that Hasbro/Takara decided so late into the line to take these figures to the level of detailing and engineering that Blackout, Bonecursher and Brawl are at. They couldn't even be bothered to do a slight remold to MPM03 BB's back to get the smaller window pieces to swivel to be more accurate.

Now just need to get Bonecrusher to complete the '07 line up which should happen sometime next week.

Oddly enough, all my Decepticons are MPM scale (official and third party), but my Autobots consist of MPM carbots (Jazz and BB) with everyone else being oversized (WJ/BA Optimus, BA Ironhide and oversized Ratchet). I prefer Optimus to be about the same size as Megatron regardless of what the scale charts say. Always hated that they made Megatron SO much bigger than Optimus.

MP Rhinox arrived this evening! Having it in hand, the exterior finish isn’t as shiney as pics make it out to be. A little bummed that it’s all just brown colored plastic rather than paint though. I sort of get it b/c of how much the panels come in contact with each other, they’d probably be prone to scratches. I think he’s one of the more complex Beast Wars MPs to date when it comes to transformations, particularly getting the arms right when going back to beast mode. Overall, a great addition to the MP Beast Wars collection. Looking forward to the rumored Waspinator and Tarantulas to help fill out the Predacon ranks considering we only have Megatron and Blackarachnia.

Office bots! I picked up two more of these wonderful deformed space starscream figures from a recent showz sale. So now I can display one here. He's damn nice.

He looks really good but that transformation scares me. Just seems so messy based on all the videos I’ve watched. I don’t transform my MPs often, but when I do, I don’t want them to be aggravating.

Got mine around the same time you did and have been working my way through some photos. Now I have to figure out how to transform him back into a tank!

Beautiful pics as always man! This is by far my favorite MPM figure thus far. I would really love to see Hasbro take a stab at an ROTF prime with the same level of engineering and care. Same for Bumblebee. Feel like those got the short end of the stick for being the earliest releases. Also hoping for an ROTF MPM Megatron in the future

Thank you! Yeah I agree they just keep getting better and better at these movie masterpiece figures so it would be great if they were to revisit some of the earlier Autobots.

Finishing it up with some tank photos!

Been working on a little project, yes?

I just had to do it. Bring the Marvel to the G1 deco, of DEATH'S HEAD!

Started out taking the armor he has and reworking that, thickening it up with 0.5mm styrene.
Initially I liked where this was going...

456323120_1269808744365916_2322035079182015153_n.jpg456377547_1269808767699247_7237397774325402301_n.jpg

...wanted to let it sit and cure for a bit in my head, though and checked if I could do what I said I wanted to do,
which was taking the overly long cape, cutting that and reworking the waist armor and taking a piece of said cape for the new waist armor.
So that worked. Took standard foam rubber (available in any home depot, or half decent tinkering store) for the lining:

456577215_1269808787699245_3391431040280953422_n.jpg456307636_1269808807699243_2445559674093878876_n.jpg456274672_1269808844365906_7978803728570537692_n.jpgpixlr_20240824203609455.jpg

Of course, this is far from all. He's missing at least 2 accessories. 1 being his arm blaster (his rifle is an early WIP):

IMG_20240824_001654.jpgIMG_20240824_001717.jpgIMG_20240826_001144.jpg

Next I did the most dangerous thing to the figure. "You **** this up and this is it", was my thought process:
Dremeling into the stomach, creating his "belly radiator", using the biggest and center disc, that was left of the original belt.
Made the lining this styrene. Not overly clean, but I'll work on that in the final steps:

IMG_20240902_232934.jpgIMG_20240902_234244.jpgpixlr_20240825152806492.jpg

In between I did the lining work, using a strong, thin and permanent marker and began to rework the gauntlets, filling them with said foam rubber and painting over it, using a mixture of "Cospaint" and acrylic brown and copper (the cospaint keeps the flexibility of the foam rubber. It's being used to paint, but also seal cosplay made from EVA, or foam rubber. Amazing stuff):

pixlr_20240903001205068.jpgIMG_20240902_233002.jpg

Last step so far was finalized yesterday:
decided to throw away the work I did on the chest armor and completely re-do it, making it as accurate as can be, making an undervest of said foam rubber, painting that with cospaint mixture of that, silver, green and smidge of black. Test came out amazing, so wanted to see the waist armor painted...

IMG_20240904_211314.jpgIMG_20240904_211328.jpgIMG_20240904_211623.jpgIMG_20240904_211654.jpgIMG_20240904_215504.jpgsignal-2024-09-04-21-19-37-730.jpg

...and so this is the urrent state of affairs, which is the last of yesterday evening with said vest:

IMG_20240904_235815.jpg

Feeling damn good about this now!

All of a sudden there's a figure almost done on your table:

- vest not 100%, upper "armor missing, but position final
- armored skirt final
- lower arms painted and final
- hand repaint WIP, able to keep articulation.

Here’s the prototypes for Soundstreaker missing link and G1 Arcee, made from the unreleased prototype from 1986. It will feature how it she would transformed back then, with the joints from missing link. I mean if they are doing this imagine the possibilities of never released figures like new rodimus, headmaster arcee and g1 unicorn

That's pretty cool about the Missing Link Arcee figure! Still hoping for a Missing Link Megatron

I still can't get behind the missing link figures. I think releasing a figure based on the ArCee prototype is a great idea, but it seems to me that a straight release in the design of the original figures would be more desirable. I guess you could just do limited poses and pretend it was truly a figure from that time.
