Got this guy today. Excellent looking bot and I'm thrilled to finally have a Fans Toys Constructicon, but he is a monster! Bigger than most of my MP style transformers. Dwarfs poor Bluestreak. Devastator is going to be absurdly large.

I'm not familiar with those. Nice boxes.
They’re mainline figures. I don’t normally buy mainline stuff anymore but when ppl started saying how this Optimus was like a mini masterpiece, my ears perked up and had to hunt him down. I think both are overpriced ($90 for Optimus and $25 for Bumblebee), I luckily had a lot of coupons for Target that brought them down significantly.

I will say, they’re definitely fun figures and nice enough to scratch the transformation itch without having to take 30mins to an hour to transform an MP figure.

I'm glad they are going with a G1 style and character selection. One great thing about transformers collecting nowadays is that there seems to be something for everyone. Even the non transforming figures posted here recently.

Looks really nice! I've thought about going for them, but now that we're getting the constructicons in the studio series 86 line, I'm happy to just have them represented that way.

Speaking of the SS86 line, just got these two today:

I just reviewed that Prime and I think it's a good figure, yet mediocre at the pricepoint.
Chipping paint, smokestacks loose, heels assembled wrong, same as the head flap, which just sits way too tight and so you're getting stressmarks.
Warped effects, loose outward thigh joints. That's just too much for a figure at a over 100 buck pricepoint.

I agree that 86 Prime is overpriced, but I feel that way for all mainline figures. I probably wouldn’t have bought them had I paid full price. I guess you had to buy it from somewhere else though to have paid over $100 for it. Retail at Target in the US is $90, but I only ended up paying about $60 with my discounts.

I only had the common incorrectly placed heels as far as I know. I‘ll watch your review to see what you mean about the misassembled head flap b/c I haven't heard about that being an issue nor noticed anything like that on mine. As far as I know, I don’t have anything wrong with mine aside from the aforementioned heels which I've fixed already. No paint chips or loose hips. The warped blast effects are easily fixable with some heat, so I find that to be a non issues personally.
