Ahh ^^^^ it, I just went ahead and bought MP Grimlock from ebay. A seller had one with a 5% discount with free shipping of a total of $151.99 plus I used the microsoft 11% cashback $16.72 discount. So after discounts it cost $135.27. I kept watching BBTS stock of Grimlock and it's down to only 9 pieces. I wanted to get some other figures before I get Grimlock, but I see he is selling very well and was afraid it will be hard to find at a decent price later.

I don't know if its been answered already but what *is* the exact height/length of ol' Grimlock in both modes? I've heard 9inchs and/or the size of the masterpiece Starscream (rather small for $100+)...

Still trying to fully decide on getting the figure now or just wait later...

Sorry to say, but it says right in the auction description that it's a remake. That's WAY too low for a genuine in-box devastator.

thanx, i wasnt sure if remake meant reissue or knock off!!! it wont be a problem to sell if im not happy!! but i will keep it if looks ok i.e not cheap looking etc! will have to wait and see i suppose!

yeah, remake is just a nice way off saying knockoff. They've never re-released Devy in the G1 colors...yet

nice 1 verbs! yeh i half thought that about "remake"- dev was one of the few g1 TF's that i never got hold of in the 80's so i thought id get this as it was cheap and looks ok in pics! and im quite sure i can get rid if not happy with it!

im only really into MP's now (after stupidly giving all my g1 stuff away in the early 90's) but i hope they 'encore' the rest of the guys? all of them especially devy/menasor and predaking! think theres a chance of it hapnin? ive encore jazz and hes quite good quality in terms not plasticy/cheapo like newer hasbro types! i.e their classics dont compare to the henkei versions imo!

they re-issued Predaking a couple years ago, forget about getting one for cheap now

Is there any difference between the Hasbro, Encore and the Takara book style reissue figures? I know that the smoke stack on Prime is different and Soundwave cassette doors. But wanted to know if the Jets and other vehicles are different from each other

As far as the Jet differences go:

Hasbro - Long (stupid) missiles
Encore - Same as G1
Takara book - Only SS was released and he was "anime" color

Thanks, I got the takara book style Screamer and the Hasbro jets and wanted to see if its worth getting the Encore.

Congrats, I've been checking daily on their stocks and it went down quick, but a few days ago it was all sub standard package and the very last one it was a standard package. Anyways I got one coming to from Hong Kong, got it from ebay. All I need now is MP THUNDERCRACKER.

give it time, he'll start popping up elsewhere, not to mention i'm sure takara will do a reissue later, to say nothing of the inevitable hasbro import.
