Alternate PF Base Options?

I was able to fix his leg and he displays perfectly fine, but with SSC, being the best they are, sent me a free replacement PF Anakin. A regular one, which works perfect for me so I could display both of them. The only problem is, they're out of bases. Are there any suggestions on what I can do?
They even shipped it with a piece of wood twistied to his leg

What kind of attachment does he have to his base? Is it a little square metal peg like a lot of the others?

Drilling a hole in a wood plank or some other material should work fine.

Yeah, go to someplace like Lowes and they will even cut the wood for you (although you'll probably have to buy a whole board which will be more than you actually need). Then just drill a hole where the peg should go and you're set.

How nice of you to scam me after I sold you that Anakin Ex PF. You told me you couldn't get a replacement from Sideshow and told me that you didnt have time to get involved with the insurance claim since I had the anakin pf fully insured. I felt bad so I refunded you your requested $75 out of good faith.

You definitely did get the replacement though...and a nice discount on the Anakin PF from me didnt you?

All sellers out there, do not deal with this person! you never know if he will pull this switcharoo on you and scam you out of extra money.

He just sent me a PM with only the smiley icon to rub it in my face...just shows his lack of respect or guilt in this matter. Now he's looking for an extra Anakin PF base in the WTB section so he can have TWO Anakin PFs for the price of one with a $75 discount at my expense!

I have my suspicions that he already had a broken Anakin PF and just USED ME to get a mint one and a hefty discount off of the price by pretending the broken one was the one i shipped him. Either way I personally think it is F'd up

I'll have to say, I don't understand why Sideshow would give a free replacement if the PF was sold used from one person to another. They didn't have anything to do with the transaction.

I know that every time a statue or figure arrives damaged and ordered directly from Sideshow, they ask the customer send it back or to destroy it totally or partially before sending replacement.

It happened to me with the SS 1:6 Vader, SS asked me to totally destroy it (you can find the pics in the Vader thread), because shipping would have been too much. Also maybe you remember that guy posting on youtube a video destroying his PF scout (mad girlfriends destroyed it) - he was also asked to do it by SS.

Not sure why SS would let some people keep their statues or figures intact, and others have to send them back or destroy them but maybe could be a change in their policy. This could have helped me with that Vader and stupid customs taxes.

I remember Faken had to destroy his Pred mask. But they didn't ask me to do it, so how many people would honestly press the issue with SSC customer service? I just did what anybody would do, I'm not the bad guy here and I really don't see how I'm a "scam" artist because of this.

I bought an EX Anakin from Nash thats the one that came broken. He offered to refund me $100, but I said just make it $75 and we'd call it even. That's where me & Nash's business ends

I call SSC to see what can be done the next week, and that's when they offer me a regular Anakin with no base. That has nothing to do with me & Nash's transaction and that's what this whole thing's about

That's the thing. I felt bad, I told him i was upset that it got damged during shipping, but I had it fully insured and would have no problem doing an insurance claim, or possibly offered him a $100 refund.

The next correspondence I told him I'd rather go with the insurance claim since I sold this to him for $275 and would lose a considerable amount on the transaction if I refunded him $100. He was happy to tell me that $75 would be enough and we'd call it even after that because he "didnt have time to follow through with the insurance claim". Never once telling me he had it in the works with Sideshow to get a replacement. I only just found out about him having a replacement when he posted his "show your star wars PFs" thread here in the SW forum.

And the replacement looks like an ex, not a regular.

Like I said though, I have a feeling he already had a broken one and used me to get a mint one along with a refund.

Honestly now guys (Nash and Verbal) you guys are both very awesome boardies here whom a lot of us respect. I don't see what the fuss is all about. Nash, if Verbal wanted to scam you he wouldn't post a whole thread about this thing. And he's still ending up with 2 incomplete items. I understand how you feel ripped off that he got an extra piece from Sideshow but it's not like he got an extra piece from you. So he got $75 bucks back from you, but the item was damaged right? And maybe if you asked him nicely to file for insurance so you can get some of the money back or maybe both of you could get the full amount back and split it from the damaged item, both of you win.
