Hi everyone I joined the board last year and was very intimidated looking at all the talent on here. I have a lot of original ideas for figures I want personally and want to show my current artwork. Please feel to offer advice and how I can improve. uploadfromtaptalk1424274745093.jpguploadfromtaptalk1424274780724.jpguploadfromtaptalk1424274839731.jpguploadfromtaptalk1424274865227.jpguploadfromtaptalk1424275110239.jpg

Thanks Sir! It is Jerome he is my favorite. Coincidentally I'm working on Turbo and Ozone sculpts, But They are not ready to be shown yet. If you have any ideas for sculpts let me know. I need the practice and would appreciate it.

Looking really good acorihonzo! There's real character showing through in all your sculpts.
I'm new to 1/6 sculpting myself, but even though I've been sculpting in full scale for quite a few years, I still consider myself a novice.
I also get intimidated at times with great work of other artists, but I try to use their work as something to strive to and a motivating factor to keep improving. Being humble enough to know there's always room for improvement will definitely help you to progress.
As for advice, use lots of reference pictures at as many angles you can find of the SAME expression. Large pictures to get details, but also ones at the same scale as what you are sculpting to get the proper proportions.
Keep an eye on the profile, eyebrow ridge and transition between brow and forehead as well as ear anatomy.
Again, great work and looking forward to your future sculpts.

Awesome choices your making. My only advice as someone who isn't a sculptor is to just keep it fresh and do characters that are not trending or all the hype of the moment. You just confirmed for me that a figure like Jerome would translate well as a 1/6 figure. Always keep it interesting.

Thanks Sir! I have so many ideas but my skills are not there yet. I'm really glad I found this forum. It literally has given the motivation to be a better artist.
