I've read an awful lot about the fact that Sideshow neglected to make an Origins Kurgan Figure. I've heard a few peeps who call themselves Kurgans belly-aching that they'll probably never get that figure now!

Well......WHEN A KURGAN IS TOLD HE CANNOT HAVE SOMETHING, HE GOES OUT AND TAKES IT ANYWAY!!!!

You guys are an army and I now lay down this challenge. Get together and contact some of the insanely talented customizers on this board and make your ultimate figure A REALITY! Even if you have a few customizers working on different bits and bobs, I'm sure it can be done.

Heck, there are probably some peeps out there that can handle making a limited run of 'Premium Format' 21" Tall Kurgans.

You have 3 months Kurgans, the time has come!

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I can recommend a a guy who make custom 1/6 swords and there are also a several people I can think of that could sculpt the armor. There is a plethora of members here who can sculpt heads. All that would leave would be the cloth bits of the armor and the cape.

There is a lot of talent out there, all it would take is some initiative... oh and it would be costly, but you'd end up with one hell of a great, and extremely limited, figure. It would definitely be far superior to anything Sideshow would have put out.

But who would own the final figure? Or did you imply an army? Did you intend to keep it for yourself? Or donate it to a poor child in Malasia? It's a nice dare, but what are the logistics, the guidelines, the rules? You can't throw down a challange without a unified group of challangers, a clear set of expectations, and somebody to organize and assemble the project. And some way to determine who gets the final figure. 3 months is a time limit, but there must be some oraganization!

Here's an idea:

How 'bout we have Customikey make one for us and then we will have a Gathering where all the Kurgans throw down and take each other's heads off and the last one standing with his head still on gets to keep it! :D

If SS can't do a Medieval Kurgan, how in the hell kan we make one in 3 months ??

Creecher, you stink! :lol
Gee that's the first time anyone has ever said that. :lol
I was just giving the usual Kurgan welcome. It's a great idea. I don't know why Sideshow never did it. It could be a real seller. :monkey5

The Medieval Kurgan isn't just your ordinary 1/6 body. Isn't just your usual armoured figure. Isn't just clothed in the threads of the day. He's thoroughly unique. Totally awesome, and while you could do a good job, it's like making the Sandman. It might just fall below expectations, and that isn't allowable. Three months. Even Sideshow allow 6 to 8 months or more, and they are organised and have resources. Something like this could take years and years of frustration, bad communication, distances, shipping, shoddy workmanship, settling for less. It's a veritable disaster, with a hint of the possiblities to urge you on.

COME ON YOU WHINEY BABIES!!!!
You are Kurgans. Get it Done. Who said anything about only making one figure? As far as i'm aware, casts can be made for heads, armour etc. Sideshow have more than one sculptor working on any one piece. The Sideshow freaks have more than one customizer! You can all make this happen.
As for the 3 month challenge? Thats the time I'm giving you all to get things moving, you've already spent more time than that whinging about Sideshow not making the figure!!!
Get a list of customizers together, tell them of the challenge, organize yourselves. Heck you Kings of Fury can even get Sideshow to distribute the final result as a special fan edition. The potential here for this and future figures is massive. How do you think Medicom and Hot Toys started out????

3 Months Kurgans........3 Months!

We are Kurgans.

All we know what to do are:

Post in Large Fontery

Annoy people

Sleep

Chop heads off n-a-y-s-a-y-e-r-s

Stink up threads

and eat babies :monkey5

Other than that, we are pretty much lost like going grocery shopping

You made the call, it's up to you bidge1000. I need cheese, wine, babies, etc. Don't worry I bring my own stink with me. Cheers :duff

I love it whenever ignorant newbs to the board challenge the Krusade. I cannot wait for the day all the gnays will eat their words and will beg for our forgiveness. :lol

I love it whenever people come on the board after a challenge has been thrown down and just offer bloated opinions about 'ignorant newbs'
You Tinkerbell, are a Kurgan Wannabe!!!! I may be fairly new to the boards brother, but i'm not new to the game!!!!

Take up the challenge or leave your armour at the exit!
