And instead of considering cutting the tunic do a search for the arm problem and you'll find the rubberband sleeve solution which is more reasonable.
That sleeve tutorial is a MUST however you still need to do something about the inner tunic. Roll it up and it may actually push down on the arm even more. Find someone who knows what they are doing (seamstress) and have them remove the sleeve. That way if you sell it or decide you want that sleeve back on you can put it back on and the figure is not damaged.

That's the reason I decided to cut off the sleeve. I knew I would not be selling this figure as it is definitely a highlight in my collection. Once I fixed the problems I had with the figure, it was nearly perfect to me.

Now if only it had arrived that way... :monkey2

I just leave all my 12" IN the box! Na! No problem! :D

Still, reading all these solutions prepares me for the day I should decide to release the figures form their cage, and encounter some of the things you guys describe!

Unless you are like some people who's figures arrived with the arm already detatched, rolling around in the packaging!
(knocks on wood to protect us both from a jinx :monkey3 )

I just got mine a lil bit ago and mine is very tight. I pulled on pretty hard to remove it and see how it looked with the other arm and it was not coming out. Now I am afraid to change the arm.

Another easy modification to make it look a bit better - the leather surcoat type thing is a little too wide - but the leather is thin enough you can fold it under to make it a little more screen accurate. It also has the effect of making Anakin seem not as broad shouldered as he comes straight out of the box.

The arm on mine is tight. I guess I lucked out, I switched arms once or twice, and it still sticks pretty tough.

Somebody previously posted using teflon tape from a hardware store. Put a small square between the peg and the hole and he said it did the trick.

I used Quake Hold. Museum Wax would do the same thing. These products are for keeping things on shelves during earthquakes. I'm not sure how easy it is to find them outside California. Quake Hold is a white material like a gum eraser. You flatten a piece of it between two surfaces by pressing them together. Once it sets you'll need to twist to pull the pieces apart - they won't come away clean without twisting.

I have to pose the arm without twisting the peg, but the arm seems to have plenty of other ways to bend. I haven't been limited in poses.

My Sith came today and his arm falls off about once every 4 minutes (whether I am touching him or not.)
