Yes, R2 has a number of light features, and makes some of his usual sounds.
The only motion on R2 is the head rotates - it is really a statue, not a prop replica.

In some ways it may be preferable for it to be a statue rather than a replica of the actual prop used.

Yeah, some of the replicas or statues can turn out better then the real prop.
