Question for those of you who have taken off the leg wrappings - how did you get them back on? Did you glue them at the top point where the final wrap is made or did you glue them as you wrapped them? Also, what type of glue did you use? I was thinking of dampening the wrappings and combining some warm water and Elmer's white glue and applying the glue with a paint brush as I worked my way up with the wrapping, but wanted to know what everyone else was doing in case I'm over-thinking this.

QuiGonFishing, hard to tell in those pics but did you add some girth to Obi?... If not you'll see a major difference if you pad him with some cottonballs around the midsection.

Man, my camera sucks! Sharing anyway. Enjoy...

Those look AMAZING! D.A. Josh did a GREAT job on Tatooine Luke. I passed on that one, but with D.A.'s treatment, I just might have to get it after all. He repainted my Han and it looks AMAZING (just like that one)...Awesome, Awesome stuff! :rock

Awesome pics QGF!! Glad you got the Luke! Now I have your unpainted one here, with his green hair and bad tunic to torment me until I can paint him... :lol

But it was worth it, I was glad to hook you up with that! And I am ecstatic that you love it, a lot of work was poured into that Luke. :rock:rock:rock

And anyone wanting to rework their tunic, it's fairly easy to do. I might even do a video tutorial to show you guys. You just mix up some dirty paint water... brown and black... lots of water... make it look like dark tea. Dip the tunic slowly, being sure not to touch the sides or bottom of the container (as it no doubt has residual paint and will stain the clothes too dark), remove it and squeeze the water out. Let it dry, simple.

You can also lay it flat and brush on the mixture, it works just as well. Do the same to the pants and leggings, and you have a Luke with more rustic looking outerwear. :D

As for the head, that's a whole other beast. :lol

have you taken the wrappings off yet.

When I wanted to change lukes outfit, say to a pilot, I left his trousers and wrappings on.

Hope that helps.

You're absolutely right, and yes I did! I think that move transforms this figure from great to unbelievable..!

Note: this is out-of-the-box Old Ben standing next to heavily customized, lots-of-love-poured-in Luke and Han (thanks, DA!). He holds his own! Even with Josh's incredible work, he could be the best looking figure up there. Just shows you how good SS OBK is and how far ANH Luke/Han needed to come to compete...

I know Im one of the only ones probably but I like this Luke better than the Stormy Luke. Even more with a repaint

Switched my Luke to a pro body and used the Luke Stormtrooper head.

I like him on this body, makes him a bit shorter. It was also nice to go back and re-do the leg wraps, It made them blend better with the shoes amd made them a bit cleaner.

Put mine on a Pro as well. Kept the original head though as it seemed to look better overall. The Pro is pretty nice for Luke... I also swapped out my Yavin body that also uses the Farmboy head.

I did the same, I placed my Farmboy Luke head on my Yavin Luke. It looks much better. I picked up an extra Luke Stormie head last week, may do another swap.
