hmm well the animes aren't marketed towards girls, but rather the japanese male market, which prefers their female characters to be in the young, cute category. so it's not exactly girly for guys to have cutesy girls in their collection. nerdy, yes. girly, not so.

in fact the animes that are marketed towards female are usually the homoerotic kinds, and/or with pretty boys and men. i.e; "free!" the boys swimming club anime.

but in the end, people collect what they want. :p

is it the same concept as My Little Ponies?

no, not exactly. MLP is obviously geared towards the young female demographic but unexpectedly appealed to all age and genders.

Hi,

I'm planning to go to Tokyo this year, anybody knows where can I find Yamato/Arcadia Macros valkyries, Revoltech or Megahouse figures?

Thanks in advance

Hi all I'm new to pvc anime figure collecting. Does anyone know if they ever made these in 1/4 scale before. I see t
Some inn1/7 and 1/8 but prefer to wait for a 1/4 scale of these. Do you think they will make them? Im looking for mostly the female leads.

Ghost in the shell TV series
Berserk - guts
Attack on Titan
Black lagoon
Bubblegum crisis newer series 2000 something
Ronin warriors main characters

1/4 scale in japan is very rare i think..most are garage kits and very rare as they are sold at conventions. just jump into the smaller scales. they are very good still.

Thanks for the info. Totally new to these. I'm already getting carried away and want so many smaller 1/7 figures. But then I saw a 1/4 from a friends place on this forum and wow! I don't know what to do. I think I may just wait in hopes they will make a 1/4 Titan main cast, ghost in the shell, bubblegum crisis, etc. with the statue explosion seems like we are slowly getting some here and there now. I want both 1/4 and 1/7 but due to space and money I just can't afford to keep both lines going.

I got 2 of the Tatsunoko Heroes Fightingear figures. Casshern and Ken from Gatchaman. These figures are awesome and pretty heavy. The chests light up but it doesn't look right in pictures taken with my phone. The articulation on these is really nice.
