You said it Fiend.

Word.

Just to clarify though, I like all the HT releases. I think they all have a bit of Ledgers likeness-all to varying degrees of course. But I have enough idealized Jokers. I've had my fill. The only place to go know is with a dead on likeness. No more mish mash paint jobs while taking all kinds of liberties with the likeness. And I think that's what their doing, regardless what they say.

When you look at that sculpt the Ledger likeness hits you in the face like a ****ing maul hammer.

:lol :lol :lol

- & yes, that Joker head is amazing! :clap

Like that do you. And it has real hair! :lol To a degree. In my opinion that above sculpt handles the real hair thing the best way. It's something like 90% sculpted with real strands mixed. Of course, the painting and dying of the hair to color match it is expertly done so it appears seamless. But, if HT does decide to ever do a Joker with real hair this is the way it needs to be done. Please, pleeaase don't go full hair. Mass produced it would looks like a nightmare imo. All the real hair figures HT has done look horrid. It would even be worse with someone like Ledger who had a thinning hair line.

That's the thing with customs though, isn't it - folks can experiment with all kinds of techniques & incorporate them as authentically as they possibly can, in no particular rush - usually as a tiny run - or even just the one figure. The end result ought to be sensational with those odds! :lecture :lol

Mass production? Eliminating the risky logistical decisions is key. Even HT have yet to learn their lesson in some respects ala the Bat rubber suits etc.

I think you've both touched on why any HT Heath Joker is always going to have sculpted hair.

I'd never buy a Joker with doll hair anyway. Even when those customs are well done I get Barbie or Cowardly Lion vibes.

Sculpted or GTFO. Mah manly action figgures don't have girly doll hairs.

I'd be down for some newest version of an all inclusive Joker capable of all the looks from the film. Like an ultimate Barbie-Make-Me-Menacing thing!
