as far as i recall, it was Nolan who put the kaibosh on the nurse joker ~ so it's possible that he's come around now that some years have passed. Ledger's family doesn't own his performance, Nolan does.

I'm intrigued to see where this goes.

I have the DX11 so don't need anything else Joker related but there is scope for more I guess.

Like most people though I would see more effort & resources pumped into licenses that have been on the cards for a long time.

However if this means the extra profit made from this gets put into other lines then I am all for it...rinse the Iron Man & TDK licence's all you like as long as the cash goes back into actually doing something with all the other licences you have.

I missed out on the previous Ledger Jokers and do not want to pay $400+ for them so this is terrific news! :yess::clap

I swear they'll be on the 10th DX Ledger Joker and people will still be saying they 'missed out' on the previous ones.

If you check the latest interview with HC thread, (don't ask me where), you will see by the tone of writing that it may NOW be possible as he mentions 'further negotiations' have been undertaken.

But you are correct in that it was originally not allowed. Perhaps now it is.

*EDIT* here:

The fact he says 'didn't want to deceive anyone' makes sense as originally he said a nurse version was not allowed.

Who knows what he said. These interviews are so badly translated.

This figure could be absolutely perfect if it is 1/4 scale and is both the regular purple overcoat Joker with the Bank Robber attire as extra......but that is wishful thinking

I didn't do the last one because I thought it was too much...

Not overly surprising considering how much they milked Iron Man, so this now seems rather meh in comparison. I love the DX11 so have no interest in upgrading anything, but would happily pick up a new headsculpt with a different look/expression and any other accessories.

As other have said though, a Batman 2.0 would be much more exciting for me. I was really let down with the DX12 and felt it seemed a big slapdash. I loved the way the suit was now done but the face plates were pretty poor and there was a serious lack of accessories. Also the shoulder pads being one piece really bothered me. They should really go back and do a full on, definitive dark knight in 1/6. Essentially a 1/6 version of QS001.

Sigh.... Another Ledger Joker. Still no Batman Returns after announcing it almost 2 years ago... but another Ledger Joker?

At least it isn't Iron Man... but man has my excitement for Hot Toys upcoming product died this year. Now that the Batmobile and Evil Supes are here, the only thing on the horizon for me is Mime Joker.

Unless they announce a Returns figure soon, I'll officially have no HT product on preorder.

I posted this back in April... It is still applicable. That is sad.

Maybe this is why they didn't give the DX11 an RPG. They needed to hold at least one significant accessory back for another figure.

They'll do it I bet but it won't be definitive. I predict another mod-erama.

They really should a definitive 1/6 Begins version first. :exactly:

That too. I have the OC version from the Dark Knight and I love it, partly because it was my first figure and partly because it still holds up really well. But an update with a better cowl, better faceplates than the TF EX and better materials all around, and hopefully a new Wayne sculpt would be great. I really think Hot Toys should put their all into making a definitive version of both suits before moving onto the newer films in a couple years.

Sadly this is true. I wouldn't expect anything 100% perfect, but at least something that ticks all the boxes. Hands that don't just keep falling off, decent faceplates, plenty of accessories.

What no love for Man of Steel? I'm fired up for those figures next year as well as Robo Cop. :)

I actually really disliked MOS. :( Possibly more than I disliked Iron Man 3.

I know the new take on Supes was loved by many... I am just not one of them. No offense to those who did enjoy it though!
