Saw it yesterday. I liked it. I thought it was a fun and entertaining movie.

I loved the 1989 scene. But one thing confused me. At one point does Howard Stark die? I remember the scene in Winter Soldier when it was mentioned that Hydra was part of Howard's accident. Yet they showed the young Howard in the footage, which I assumed meant he died a long time ago. But then he is still alive in 1989.

I actually had that same thought and looked it up.
Apparently, MCU Tony was born in 1970 and his parents died when he was 21, so, that would've been three years after we saw Howard, here.

Thanks for the info. batfan. That is helpful.

I was thinking that one of the dangers of intertwining the MCU in all the movies is the consistency and continuity. And I think they have been doing a great job of keeping things in order.

The main villain was paper thin, but Rudd really nailed his character.

And the supporting cast of Douglas, Lily, and Pena were top notch as well.

Wright's humor really shines through the formulaic script.
So much so that the obligatory bad guy felt rather shoehorned into the plot.

AND Garrett Morris (!) had the coolest cameo yet in the MCU:

Most kids likely had no idea who or what the gag was! Effin' brilliant! :clap

Bring on Civil War! The bar is very, very high after Winter Soldier, but damn if the third chapter isn't shaping up to be epic.

Top three Marvel film for me....loved it...deserves to make a billion...cast was awesome:)

When all is said and done, this has been a pretty great summer for movies.

Agreed...still look forward from now till Sept to mission impossible, pixels, ff4 and man from Uncle and Hotel Transylvania

I felt like that sequence left me a little bit disappointed.

I feel like, after that whole "red makes you small, blue makes you big" spiel that Pym gave, it would've been an amazing opportunity to bring in Giant Man.

Have some patience, because
Scott's Giant-Man ability will be introduced in Civil War. They already set it up during the final battle in Ant-Man and when Scott used the blue disc on himself.

I really liked the Falcon's new armor from AoU/Ant-Man, so technically, he can get his figure made sooner rather than later since he was in this movie. What do you think the chances of that are though or does only Baskin Robbins know?

Well, that was my whole point. Could you imagine how people would've reacted if, when he came back from going subatomic, he wound up growing as big as the house?

I think that would've been too much. You just had a touching scene with him coming back, why would you cheapen it with another giant gag like the gnome, ant and Thomas the Train? Gotta save some things for future installments :lol

Rudd interrupting Dad and Daughter touching moment was an eye roller for me.

Sure the movie was thrilling because we haven't had a cool shrinking tech movie for quite some time, but the humor in this movie was Punisher Warzone bad at times.

Rudd was great as were Douglas and Tauriel, but some of that humor was painfully bad.

I like how the little girl was struggling to keep her eyes closed, pretending to be a sleep during the bed side moment. You can see her straining like, "CAN I OPEN THEM NOW, CAN I". :lol

She was very adorable with her missing teeth, but when she told her step dad bumbling cop something along the lines of "Good, I hope you don't catch him", it came off so phony and scripted beyond anything someone that age would've ever thought to say.

I didn't buy it. :lol

Adding it to my eye rolling list.

Btw, I meant when he interrupted Tauriel and Kirk jr.

Saw is on Saturday.
Loved it!
Way better than Jurassic World !
I'd say better than Avengers:AOU too!
Think Hot Toys will make a new Falcon?

In all likelihood yes but probably will be part of the Civil War line. Guessing it'll be the very first CW figure that goes up for PO, well in advance of May next year since Falcon's new suit has already appeared twice now.
