Has anyone from SS explained what it is made of and why it is so expensive?

If it weighs 20 lbs than the price is a little more understandable.

What does weight have to do with anything?

My hope is that the high price for Jabba himself has more to do with the care in production to make sure the paint-apps are the best they can possibly be. For that, it'd be worth the money.

As for the throne, it is poly and fiberglass according to SSC, so that combined with the hoped-for stellar paint apps would make the price seem about right to me.
