I don´t have the space for a monster like this, but i mainly collect carnivores, so no problem...
You all have your SS dinosaurs on display, or packed in a carton?

I keep mine on display, where thieves can easily spot them.

On a related note, today I had an unexpected opportunity to see one of Jorge's older sauropod reconstructions in person. There's a more complete image on my site, but it's hard to see the detail in that one, so I just had to take a shot.

Bonus points if you can determine the species!

Argh! I always forget the "No employees of natural history museums may participate in this challenge" disclaimer. +5 for you, then.

Holy cow. It's hard to see with the flash, but how is the detail? I'm not expecting Carnotaurus-level clarity, but still.

It's pretty good..a little soft on the legs though. My biggest gripe is with the eyes..they aren't painted very well what there is of them. They look like two tiny pin pricks of paint. I think some tiny taxidermy eyes would improve it immensely.

More pics coming later !

Which ones did you want to see it compared with? Sideshow's stock photos already display it next to two other statues.

Wow, thank you so much for photographing her outdoors. It's amazing how different it looks, and the beautiful paint app looks very close to the stock photo. Mind if I pop a few onto FB?
