Apextime Chaos Ultra Case

I'm considering buying this case looking for advice on if its good and if it's worth the price tag? Which leads me to the second question!!

Apextime have the 'Chaos Ultra' on their website for $238 USD

Sideshow collectibles has the same case for €149.70 / $155 USD
Am I missing something or are these the exact same case with $83 difference?

It’s a good case but only for displaying one figure at a time really.

I use it for taking pics of my figures.

I think it’s worth it if you want it for your favourite figure or to take photos.

I think their website offers shipping included in the price, so that’s likely the discrepancy.

Yeah I mostly want it for taking photos with. Plus I got one grail figure incoming that will probably take over it. That makes sense I guess if shipping is included. I'm in Ireland so Apextime don't ship to me so I'd have to go with Sideshow. Those photos look great

I bought one from sideshow. Just a heads up, be prepared for the literature to not explain the remote at all, and at least for me it wasn't very intuitive. If someone has been able to figure out the controls or has a guide in english, would love to see it.

$200 for a single display case is too rich for me.

most of my figures dont worth $200.

I just ordered one from Apextime website and get it delivered to a reshipping company in US, then they'll charge me a small fee to repackage it and ship onto me here in Ireland.

Sideshow was looking for approx $150 for shipping. That doubled the price from them to $299
I will still be caught with customs fees as I'm importing into the EU. So this will be my one and only Apextime case. It'll suit me for photography and messing with the lighting setting if I can get the hang of it

I have 4 of the chaos ultra and two of the non-colored ones. They are both very different in terms of their versatility of lighting. When I first bought the Ultra, I though they could switch to all colors of the rainbow, not just amber/white. The non-colored light boxes are much better in terms of getting asymmetric lighting, if you are into that for your figures

So I just recieved my Apextime Chaos Ultra case and put it together. I have to say it's a great display case for single figures or your grail piece. The controls were a bit finicky at first but I've got the hang of it now and tend to just use the custom lighting option and light what led strips I want and then mess with the temperature. I do think its a very expensive case and I had to pay customs on it also. But it's fun to play with the lighting.
