Seriously?!!!

This was teased three years ago. Revealed & released and now you decide you want one because you've only just found out it has a low ES for the EX.

Congrats Filip629 and Space-Man on scoring a good one. Filip629, this piece meant a lot to both of us, you must have been pretty anxious about what you get once that box arrived. Almost to the point of praying to the toilet bow god after a night of too much drinking. I know I was :rotfl

I gotta be honest, I was feeling a lot of anxiety waiting on Apoc. When he showed up, I immediately opened him up. I grabbed and inspected the base 1st and it was perfect. I'm thinking, maybe I got really lucky and got a good piece. Then I leaned down and went to grab the figure when I saw it...I'm looking at the figure and I see a HUMONGOUS white mark on the left edge of his front collar. It looked like someone dropped something on the collar and just crushed the edge of it. I was FUMING. I mean, I'm cursing, throwing a fit, and raging at this point. I didn't even take him out of his plastic bag and I'm thinking...now I have got to go get my camera, take pics, and deal with CS telling me there is no better replacement. Damn, was I hot. So I took the figure out because I was going to have to take pics of the damage and at this point, I wanted to see what else was wrong with the piece. When I removed him from the plastic, I took a closer look at his collar. The white mark looked like some kind of powder. So, I blew on the corner of his collar and a large portion of the white spot was removed. I'm thinking...could it just be some kind of powder?

This actually happened to me with my Thanos dio. There was a white powder all over him when I received it. I just had to wipe the figure down and he was perfect. Can I be so lucky twice? So I grabbed a rag and wet it. I wiped the collar with the rag and was able to clean off the area. The collar was perfect after I was done. I can't begin to explain the relief I felt after that. Then I remembered, there were a lot of other issues with the piece so I'm still not sure I dodged a bullet just yet. Well, after closely examining the rest of him, I only saw the 2 minor issues I reported in my earlier post. Those issues could only be seen from close up and didn't take anything away from the piece at a normal viewing distance. Obviously I checked his gun arm, saw, elbow attachment, and coils next. They all fit perfectly and the paint apps were good. Then and only then, did I breathe a HUGE sigh of relief. Apocalypse was here to stay.

I feel very fortunate to receive the piece in good condition. I can only hope that everyone else that has to deal with QC issues gets a satisfactory replacement. This BEHEMOTH is a worthy representation of Apocalypse and a great addition to any collection. It would have killed me to know this piece is out there and I didn't have one because of shoddy QC. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about that anymore. I truly hope it works out for everyone else.

The funny part is that this Apocalypse is HUGE. I can't even fit the entire base in my display cabinet. The very edge of the base is just over the edge of my display shelf. This is the largest SSC piece I own. No way anyone can confuse this PF with a COM. :lol

Oh I know that feeling, I too had some type of white powder on the left ankle and a few other spots but was able to wipe it off. I have two spots where some paint is missing on both feet (no biggie). Also have a half dollar spot on his right arm where the gray paint is a little worn but since I can't see it while on display, no worries. Last one is what looks like paint that fell onto his back boot (gray area) where they tried wiping it off but it still ran onto the blue part of his boot. Doesn't look too bad. All in all, just glad these issues can't be seen while on display so /shrug.

Hell yeah, this guy is massive and have a new appreciation for space. Really gave me an idea if I ever wanted to buy an LSF, which average around 30", a few of those can really take up some real estate.

So white powder on some... water damage on others...

Was Igo tripping on coke and driving his convertible full of Apoc's through a car wash?

White powder?
My IM LSB had *********** in the bag, I thought it was shattered polystone at first.

Me too. When I saw the spot on the collar I thought someone dropped something on the collar or smashed it against something while handling it. It looked like crushed polystone. What a huge relief to find out it was only cocaine or anthrax. :lol

So I'm guessing the ex is not for WL anymore :( Oh well back to waiting to buy gladiator hulk. No big loss since I like that one better.

Sure it's a big loss. Think of all the money you'll be paying to buy the EX in the aftermarket. This is not going to end well for you. Peeps that are already on the WL aren't converting. With a low ES of a popular character and a kick *** sculpt...this is a CBG MUST HAVE piece! Think back to the X-MEN cartoon and just how AWESOME Apocalypse was in it. Good luck trying to fool yourself into thinking you don't need this piece. Whatever you say, deep down...you know just how badly you want it. Don't worry about the G Hulk. You can pick him up for $100 less than retail whenever you want after his release because his ES is so HUGE. No my friend, your sleepless nights will be spent worrying about the Apocalypse! Only those that are strong and worthy can claim him for their collections. They are the ELITE.
