Hi, all. Considering getting in on the December wave of this guy, but I'm wondering: why exactly is there another wave coming? Did they not release all 1500 the first time? What are the odds of this next wave having fewer issues?

Sideshow's questionable QC practices as of late have been keeping me from getting into their statues again.

From what I've read, the regular editions have had far less issues than the exclusives.

This! :lecture The REGs as a whole have had no real QC issues. The EXs were a roll of the dice and suffered many QC issues.

Thanks, guys. Much obliged. I'll give it some thought as there's just too much other stuff being released in December for me.

I've found myself thinking about selling this guy to make room for other stuff lately. (this is not a sales post, calm down). I just noticed I wasn't stopping to stare at him much, despite Apocalypse being the only statue in the hallway to my bedroom (at least he was until I packed everything up and put it in storage a week ago). Finding myself wanting to pay for some other things, not wanting to dip into my bank accounts and thinking Apocalypse might be best served funding an XM statue or my new found interest in PCS. I know we aren't likely to get a better Apocalypse (unless XM does one down the line), but I wouldn't call him an essential character to my collection.

Then again, if Apocalypse is in the next X-Men movie, I imagine his value will shoot up, which makes me feel like now is the wrong time to be thinking this.

Also, that sucks you are still waiting on a replacement wanderlai. Very bogus but hopefully the delay is them ensuring the new batch comes from the factory in tip top shape.

Just be warned selling is nightmare these days. Collectors want something flawless. He is big and hollow. Means high shipping and high chance of damage. If he isn't essential then sell him and move on but don't expect a lot in the selling process. Might even eat a few dollars. Try to sell to someone local. X men are my top priority so he is essential to my collection but he is also to big for a non essential character. JMO

Yeah I hear ya. People are super picky. I tested the waters on facebook and even though mine is one of the most perfect examples of this I've seen, it has a couple of super small issues that turned people off. I will probably just end up keeping him though. Selling statues is a much bigger pain than selling figures. While I can't say he is essential, he is awesome and I love X-Men. I think I just don't have a good spot for him mostly. He needs to be displayed above eye level and I don't have anywhere sturdy enough that high to put him. We'll see what happens when I move.

Mine is on a bottom shelf and looks great there. What brings him to life is lighting. With some good lighting on him he will pop. Moved mine and adjusted one of the spotlights and now I love him whereas before he was just in the way and overlooked.

I don't have any special lighting set up but when I move plan to set up some real display specific stuff. I also think he'll look better when I get some similarly sized pieces to put him with like XM Hulk and Gladiator Hulk. He had been by himself on a cabinet that otherwise only housed family photos. Weird display...

I adore Apocalypse; what's holding me back from even buying him is the price tag and the fact that I'm really not a big fan of the pose and especially the base. I just can't shake the thought that one of my favorite Marvel villains isn't perfect and, for $600 (hell, even $400 to be honest), I'd like him to be. Bowen's pose was better IMO. That gesture with Sideshow's sculpt would be sublime.

I sold mine for 800 a long time ago now. It was international shipping too. It got there perfectly and he was happy... Whew!

Then hopefully my reg turns out ok.

You should be in good shape buddy. For me personally, this is an incredible looking PF. Jaws drop when friends and family see him. He looks so HUGE and menacing. Just the way I like my Apocalypse.

meh some ******* broke in Mr. Green's home and burglarize his home. apocalypse paid the price with a broken collar around his neck. joker pf got his sword broken too at the seam which isn't so bad. also lost his mother's gold necklace. such is life.

Sorry to hear friend. Hope he gets found.
