This looks pretty great overall. I like the bearded version much better... I think it has to do with the longer hair. Because the other head has shorter hair the neck and traps look like they are just placed on the body... It looks unnatural to my eyes lime his neck is too long... But the longer hair and beard help with that look and also makes it seem that the neck is shorter.,... Everything else about this piece is top notch.

I agree with you 100%. I don't like the reg head, this is how I displayed mine EX head and regular left hand. I wish trident is made of metal just like Wolverine.

It's actually relatively small. I'd say about as deep and wide as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman but probably about 12" shorter.

I like the reg head a lot more than expected from these in-hand pics. That's the one I would display with the rest of the League, which this piece looks great with.

I unboxed #116 last night and it is flawless! I also just have to mention that online pictures can't really give you the true scale of this PF. It is huge! And the base is just massive. This is one solid piece and at its current price, it's a steal compared to some other, newer PFs. I might just order another one to keep at the office.

Agreed. I'm #223 and it is flawless. The base has a large footprint. I love both heads. I'm not typically a fan of Aquaman, but this statue came out beautifully. Even my girlfriend said she'd display it in her room haha.

So I unboxed this yesterday and it's a pretty nice looking PF. Some of the things I really like...great pose, fantastic paint apps on the figure and base, and cool EX feature. The pose makes him look regal. The paint apps on his shirt looks rich and I love the dark glossy green on his pants (it makes them look wet, like he just came out of the water). The base is incredibly detailed and the water crashing against it looks phenomenal. The EX does just what any good EX does...changes the statue and gives it a different feel/vibe.

Now for some of the things I thought could have been improved on the PF. First off, while I think both portraits are solid and look pretty good, I think both could have been better. For an idea of what I would have liked to have seen, take a look at the DCC Jim Lee Aquaman mini-bust. That portrait is one of the best I've ever see. As an Aquaman portrait, nothing comes close to that bust IMO. I wanted a portrait like that for this PF. Also, the paint apps on both portraits seem to have an ash/grey tint to them. I personally don't care for it. I also agree with the peeps here who think his collar is too low. It should've been higher. Lastly, I do wish the trident was made of metal. While it looks good painted up, it does feel rather flimsy. I received the brown Wolvie PF just a day before Aquaman and I thought the metal claws and Muramasa Blade on that piece really added a lot to that PF.

Overall, I am happy with the PF and I'm looking forward to completing the Big 7. This Aquaman PF is a fine addition. However, I certainly see room for improvement when I look at the piece.That said, I don't want to take away from the fine work SSC did to give us this PF. I really feel this Aquaman PF makes a worthy addition to any JL lineup. Now, bring on Flash and Martian Manhunter.

Aquaman looks like a dwarf there. He doesn't size up well at all with the others; like he's from a completely different line of statues. And that pic also shows how underscaled and tiny Batman's head is...all that bulk in the body and such a tiny, little head. Superman looks great. Wonder Man needs a complete redo.

I think I'm totally opposite of everything you are saying...lol!

Aquaman is actually in scale with the team. It might be that he is lower than the other three on their bases, but he is about Superman's size. Not sure what to say about Batman, he seems fine to me as well (besides the oversized biceps) as well as Wonder Woman. If anything, that first Green Lantern needed a re-do and luckily they did because that one is totally under scale.

Those are pedestals. Just do a Google search for "pedestals" under the shopping tab and you'll find them like I did.
