Aragorn Premium Format!!!

I don't have any LOTR PFs yet as I mainly collect the Marvel PFs. That said, I am really leaning towards picking this up because I love the pose and the detail in his outfit. Just a quick question for those who already own him, do his eyes have a yellow tint or is it just from the camera?

His eyes are blue, and the only yellow is a ring that's around the pupil of his eyes. I'm not exactly sure why it's there, only thing I can think of is it's used to bring out the blue in his eyes. Regardless, you can only see it if you put your face right up close to it, otherwise if your looking at it from a distance you don't notice it.

I have to say im disapointed in how this peice turned out. I think the likeness pails in comparison to the NECA 20 inch figure released a few years back.

No thanks!! Really do not like that PF.If its possible to remove the head and shoulders and replace them with the SS Weta bust then I'd consider it but no one has actually ateempted it as far as I know.

It's cool to still see so many images of Aragorn being posted as more people receive their orders. Every time I see a new image it makes me sad that I had to cancel.

Maybe if he does make it to the GC list before he sells out I can find a way to pick one up. Someday ...

Hmm... I'm not very fond of the head sculpt, but that is very tempting...

I got mine about two weeks ago and it rocks.
It just doesn't really fit in with my collection though , with it being the only lord of the rings piece I have it just doesn't sit right.
I think I am keeping him ( although I have thought of selling )but I need either a small poster or something to go with it.
I am hesitant to sell since he is now sold out at play.com and forbiddenplanet and ebay would be the only option to get one back.

They shouldn't even bother with weathering. It pretty much always turns out as a bunch of dots and it looks horrible.

The NECA piece did turn out better.

That is not how it looks. That was the prototype.

Warriors repaint looks better than NECA's, though.

got any pics of the NECA in hand? because i've seen the NECA in person and it looks about like that pic. and not as goos as the SS PF. u are right about the SS weathering tho.

I can see theres more detail in the Neca one but Aragorn looks like hes aged about 20 years.
