Until everyone places an order then there'll be a mistake on the website. It was actually 4000. :lol

Most of the Potter busts have had an ES of 1500. Now they are creeping up to 2000 and even 2500 with Hermione. As the LOTR line likewise grows in popularity, I think that you will see it move into the 3-4000 range. So pick up the first ones now, because they will become harder to find in the future as more and more people get into this line.

2000 isn't a mistake, 9500 by SS and Weta was.

Ordered these from the Godfather. This line is looking to get off to a great start. I'll admit, I like the low ES's. I wonder how long until they start bumbing them up like the Potter line.

Didn't realise the edition sizes would be so low.

Might have to put in an order for at least a couple of these, was going to wait (can't justify spending too much at the moment) and get them later but that may not be an option now.

As nice as these look, I have decided that I don't have the money or space to get into another line like this. If the bases were a little less obtrusive and all matched each other, I just might have been swayed. But for now, I am staying out of the GG LOTR busts.

I'm still gonna pass. Although the likeness is better on GG Aragorn, I still like the Weta busts better.

I like the different bases. That's one of the few things that bugs me about the other GG lines. It just makes each piece more unique. This line looks great so far and I can't wait to see more.

In this case, my credit card is glad that I like matching bases. I was worried that GG was going to start changing the bases for the statues when I saw the first shot of the clone armor Obi-Wan statue, since he was standing on a pile of dirt. Thankfully, they came to their senses and gave him the standard black base that the other statues have so they will all match.

Others really like the more detailed bases on the LOTR busts and dislike the simple bases of the SW bust line. For me, the more detailed and environmental the base is, the more I try to take it literally and wonder where the legs are. For instance, I think that the Spidey VS. Venom statue would work better if it didn't look like Venom was busting out of a column that appears too small to hold his legs. With a plain base, my mind would just cut off the statue beneath the waist.
