Based on the time it took for the low quantity alert to go up, my guess is that there were fewer than 250 available today. So there must have been at least 1000 sold at SDCC.

I'd say this is about right - but SSC holds back a certain quantity - maybe 50 or so to make sure they have replacements for damaged ones as well as to be sure they don't oversell. So maybe they sold 950 at SDCC?
