I'd definitely be a hero but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd use the powers to benefit my situation in some way. I wouldn't be completely selfless.

yeah this poll is incomplete, it needs the vigilante option, you do good and save people like a superhero but you use your powers for your own benefit, maybe even steal from thieves or something,

Vigilante. Good option. Left out the super-villain option of world-domination, you'd be like a modern-day Genghis Khan. It'd be pretty cool to control the world under an iron grip. Kill anyone you want, rape and pillage with your posse, etc. That's not for me though.

Comedian is close but he also lacks the moral which could mean everything when you have that kind of freedom as a mercenary, maybe something like Heroes for Hire is more like what I'm thinking of.

I would just do whatever I thought I should do whenever I needed or wanted to do it. Whether that falls into super hero or villain, others could judge.
