I would love to be wrong and get pleasantly surprised but I don't feel confident that this will be under 1200.

3 payments is kinda harsh for a $1200 statue (assuming it hits that high)... Since this probably won't be released til a year later, why not do 8-10 payments instead? You'll get a lot more orders as it'll be more affordable for people to pay that way.

More payments equals more interest accrual in a money market over 12 months. With a NRD it would be perfect. Think about it bros

For the kind of crazy numbers being thrown about here there is absolutely no excuse for cutting corners with cheap styrofoam and the like. Especially when they said they wanted to sell 500 (or more) of these things...

It better be a real wow of a piece.

$1200? Daaaaang... That's a lot of cheese for something like this. I would think only die hard Conan fans are gonna want to get this, and with how slow SS Conan items take to sell I don't see them making a whole lot of these.

For people that are gonna pay that much I sure hope this is everything you want it to be.

You said it. For me to get this it's got to be totally awesome. It certainly has the potential to be great. I hope ARH doesn't disappoint with this.
Either way it's a good time for Conan fans.

I consider myself a die-hard Conan fan and collector, and even so, it would have to be truly amazing for me to even consider biting at close to that kind of price point (plus international shipping).

The fact that I have personally been less than impressed by ARH production paint jobs in the past doesn't exactly set my mind at ease either. And as I've said already, I think cheap styro on a piece in this price range in pretty much inexcusable, especially considering how many they apparently want to sell.

For me, something in this price range needs to deliver on all counts, right across the board, and if it doesn't look likely to do that then it won't have earned my money and won't get it. Simple as that, really. Still, I'm going in with an open mind, and I am genuinely looking forward to seeing what this piece looks like, and hope for the best, but how it ultimately all plays out, well, we'll just have to wait and see.

That's a lot of money for conan thats only going to be 1/3 of the dio and the rest 2/3 just space filler. 1200$ i'll pay for 1/2 scale conan alone.

That's another thing. There may be two 1/4 characters, but at the end of the day, regardless of a shared scale, they are not of equal worth. You can't price a generic nameless damsel in the same price range as you would Conan himself, because the generic damsel wouldn't sell on her own for anywhere near the same price or in the same number as Conan would, and isn't the primary selling point for most who would be likely to purchase a piece such as this one.

It's exciting and ambitious that they want to make something so elaborate, and I hope it works out well at the end of the day, but I also hope they are being somewhat realistic in their thinking, planning, and pricing as far as things like that go along the way as well. Time will soon tell, I suppose.

Maybe I just assumed that based on the huge approx. dimensions and inclusions given and the quote 'It will be expensive and not for everyone' ...can't remember right now....

I'm most curious what Conan himself is going to look like. The Conan prototype shown so far for me personally don't look as good as Sideshows Rage of the Undying PF ...... the snake and the babe are just gravy ....if I don't like Conan more, I'm not paying for the statue.

Don't care about the box's look though....I hate statue boxes and their need to take up a gigantic amount of space. I don't even take the SS coloured boxes out of the brown shipper the majority of the time.

I don't care about a fancy looking box in the slightest, it just ends up living with all the other boxes anyway. I do care about decent styro to keep the statue safe and secure during its travels though.

The Rattle Medusa original price was $600+$200 shipping =$800

Now remember they ignored their watlist on the 2 remaining Medusa (rattle & green). They decided to sell them on ebay instead of giving them to guys on the waitlist. prob because they got pissed that people were selling the Rattle at over 2K on ebay...so they decided to do that also.

Green sold for $1150+200 shipping = $$1350
Rattle sold for $1625+$200 shipping = $1825

Given this Conan is supposed to be the mother of all conans to end all other...Arahoms masterpiece...and also the fact they got those prices on ebay for Medusa...then Arahom might back himself here and take it closer the the 2k including shipping...

time will tell

2k will price a lot of people right out I think. This may very well be the end all dio for Conan, but at some point people need to seriously consider a price tag like that. If budget and space aren't an issue, go for it, especially if it's something you really want.

:-( Oh well it looks like I'm out. If that will really be the cost, I'll have to be satisfied with "the undying carcass" and "Red Sonja". It's a good thing that i really love those two. I may even get "Queen of the Dead" as well. This is good news!

At the price they are asking for the should at least have a preview a few days before the actual sales like SIDESHOW. I don't understand why the need to have all this hush hush or secracy. If it is really that good why not jus let everyone see?

You sure take things out of context.

Arahom said $300 down will secure it. We don't have an auto flex payment in place but would like to set a rasonable number of payments. We like 3x yet, I think we can do 6x, just too early to tell you this. Will know more when it goes up for sale.

Also, to own this Conan, it's not going to be $1,200 or $2k! We are making a build up system. You buy the first box, and get mostly all! And that's less than $600!!
So Conan, base, column, salve girl all in 1/4 for under $600! That's not bad right?

Then you say to yourself, alright, I love this and have a bit more room and money so I want to get the Snake and the new base etc (EX) then you place order for the second box! Yes you are a Conan fan and you like to display the ultimate display, so you pay extra for the second part (EX) box. But it will be worth it.

About the paint, we are working on it, but we will show the proto and it wil improve in the coming months, but you generally get the idea of its majesty.

About the Styro, the more we sell the more we can offer.

So we appreciate the sales and look forward to delivering the best Conan of this year.
