Averone, thanks for sharing those images. I think the mermaids look beautiful! Although I had no intention of buying a mermaid statue, I think I'll be in for this if the price is right.

I think the one holding her left breast looks perfect, but the one holding her right breast seems akward. She kind of looks like she's feeling for lumps or something. I think it would be better if she was holding orb in her left hand with perhaps a light up feature that would shine on both of their faces. It would look so cool in the dark.A little update, hair etc still being worked

I like the concept, I'm digging these.
If I could give my critique it's to not have their hands cupping or grabbing their breasts at all. With weapons in their opposite hands, it's sending conflicting messages. Are they conveying sensuous lust or are they readying for battle? It's tough to figure out and the sculpt looks confused. I think this dio should have a single theme, not two.
If you decide to go with the battle theme, then they should have both hands on their weapons. If you're going for the seductress theme, then they shouldn't be holding weapons at all and instead should have their hands gently floating in the air or on their bodies.
This is just my personal opinion on what might make this piece look more focused and complete.

A quick update on the position of the hand
It's looking better and better. I think if the left hand and forearm were turned to where they were in the center of the twins, without changing the level of the elbow, but perhaps raising the hand up slightly with it holding something underhand like an orb, or a heart (might be a little to morbid) it would be awesome. Just throwing in a few suggestions.
It's looking amazing and Arahom's imagination never ceases to amaze me. Does he ever sleep? How does he create so many cool things and run a company at the same time? A creative mind never rests, for it works hardest in dreams.
Thnks for the reply and the update...so it means we will only see Alexander and the Mermaids at the Comic Con...So if Poseidon is pushed back for October it means there is long way for Aphrodite, Themistocles & Artemisia (300 Rise of the Empire), Hector (Troy), Hades, Spartan. Time to save some money for Alexander then. Oh and what's wrong with ARH's website???

I think the ex should probably be in her other hand (you could always add a bracelet or something to hide the seam line) because I don't believe anyone is going to want to diplay the shell over the trident. Her left arm just looks a little odd to me up against her body. It would open up the statue a little more if that hand was out towards us holding something. I love her sister's pose; she has this, "Oh my, what do we have here?" kind of look to her. The environment and base are up there with the best I've ever seen. I only thing I would suggest for that is continuing the rock/dirt/sand environment all the way to the floor and eliminating the black circular base, because I feel it takes away from the visionary world and reminds us that it's a statue. Either way it's looking spectacular.Updates on the Mermaid.
The hand with the conch shell will be a switch arm with the one with the trident for the ARH Web EX. The shark has also been just added

I think an open hand or possibly another skull instead of the shell would be a better EX. The shell only works if the EX includes another hand for the other girl to have something other than the trident for a more "inviting" feel similar to the 1st pics posted. I also agree about the base, I always prefer statues that look like they were chunked right out of reality with no "statue" base, just the environment. Base looks amazing otherwise. Keep up the good work.

I think the base, as presented, suits the piece nicely although I have to agree that the pose looks a little bit awkward with her holding the EX shell. Also, have you guys considered having the mermaid on the left (the one holding the shell) have her arm extended, somewhat sensually, down her thigh instead of under her breast? Just a thought but excited to see how this turns out!
