I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that numerous pitches were tossed around during the 90's that amounted to 'make an action film starring Arnold, Sly, Jackie Chan and whoever else we can get', yet inexplicably none of them ever got off the ground...

The second one is arguably the best of the lot. Actually succeeds somewhat in capturing a little of that ridiculous 80's action movie magic mostly thanks to a great scenery-chewing performance from Jean-Claude Van Damme as the villain.

I saw the third when it got leaked by hackers, and I still wanted a refund. Worst of the three by far, Mel Gibson is utterly wasted for one thing.

I'll have to do a marathon at some point. And I've heard too that Exp 2 was pretty good.

I've only seen the first 2 and hated the second one. One of the worst movies I've seen in the past few years. I thought the first was actually decent.
