Here's some better pics of Campbell's Fairytale Fantasies originals. Of all the prints I missed out on, it Beauty and the Beast is the one that stings the most. :monkey2 They are all beautiful though, thought you guys might like them for wallpaper or something. :

...And I wanted (still want) Little Mermaid and Beauty/Beast!

For any of you who migtht have easier access to the calendar itself as opposed to the prints from it, let me tell you, I have the numbered LE Wizard of Oz print and the calendar, and there is virtually no cropping of the artwork at all for the calendar. Possibly a milimeter or two on the bottom edge is all I noticed. And to be honest, thanks to the placement of the titles on the print Vs. the calendar, I can see a bit more Dorothy leg on the calendar version.

The prints are more vibrant in terms of the colors and you gain some clarity - they basacally look like an original inked sketch - but the calendar is a GREAT way to go if you're on a budget. The reproductions on the calendar's slightly glossier paper are excellent!

I hear what you're saying, but man do I wish I would've bought at leaast two of them. :monkey2 I'm actually thinking of trimming the calendar pages after next year and possibly framing them. :D

Indeed sir, indeed. :duff

Some guy has the whole set of 12 prints all with the same number on eBay.

Now where did I plant that money tree?

I saw that, $2,000 Buy It Now. :monkey2

I wonder what he'd accept as far as offers, I could buy it, keep the ones I want and sell the rest! :D

$167.00 a piece is about what these things are fetching on eBay right now, so that price is really not a bad starting point. If you bought the set to break up, though, you'd have to be content with the idea that you spent $167 each for the ones you wanted and then have to get $167 or better for all of the ones you want to sell just to break even. That's a bet I wouldn't take.

If I shelled out $2k for this set, I'd be keeping it as is. Having the complete set with matching numbers has to be worth something. The seller must realize that and is trying to get a premium for the set, or he'd have broken them up himself to sell ala carte.

Keep watching, though. If no one bites on the set, after a listing or two, even money that he'll sell them off one at a time. Might be a chance to snap up your most wanted at a descent price.

I'll make you all a deal. If you all lay-off the Little Mermaid, I'll lay off the Beauty and the Beast!:monkey3:monkey3:monkey3

I hope he breaks up the set, I haven't seen one of the Beauty prints on eBay yet.

I've got a great deal for you. I'll bid on the print, and you right click on the image on the last page... :lol:lol:lol
Oh snap!! :D

I've been thinking of doing the same exact thing with mine after next year is through. Would you only do it if you had an extra Ill, or are you thinking of doing it anyway even though you have just the one?
