I think part of what makes this screaming portrait look so strange is the corners of the mouth. It's like they just moved the lips up and down without making the mouth more rounded.

Nice, so it's finally been revealed!

I love the boots, Boromir's gauntlets, and the belt/strap on this. Those aspects actually look superior to the ACI (ACI's plastic boots, long belt strap and the size of Boromir's gauntlets were some nitpicks I had when I opened mine).

Everything else though? Looks cheap in my opinion. Both headsculpts don't look anything like him. The material for the duster, bedroll, etc. look like something you'd find on an early 2000s doll. Not a fan. I think the ACI Aragorn is objectively better. CREG Customs ACI Aragorn sculpt actually looks like Viggo whereas this Asmus one looks like some generic dude. Also, the clothes, weathering and weapons on the ACI Aragorn is unmatched judging by the pics. ACI's tailoring and clothing choices for their Aragorn rivals Hot Toys.

When this Asmus version gets parted out, I'll probably pick up the gauntlets, boots, and maybe the cape. That base is awesome too. Other wise, I'm passing. Grateful to see Aragorn/Strider getting recognized with different figures from different companies though.

Yep! That's some helpful, constructive thoughts. I completely agree. It doesn't look like the natural shape of a yelling mouth. Reminds me a bit of Jack Nicholsons face prosthetic as the Joker, no matter what facial expression he has the corner of his mouth are a constant smile. The lips stretch at the sides when you yell and that isn't happening in this sculpt.

Looks great except the head sculpts. ACIs was not perfect but from these pics, they still have Asmus beat. Looks nicely sculpted with lots of little details but it only resembles Aragorn. I think the cheeks are still too chubby especially the screaming head and as others have mentioned, the screaming head has anatomy issues. Like DiFabio, I'll likely eBay the parted out pieces that I want. They obviously beat ACI in a few areas.

Yep, looks good to me. Hair may be a bit overly weathered with highlights is all.

Well pretty sure this is what we are getting so the choice is to buy or not. Me? I'm getting it. Just don't know from who yet.

Ok, this worked for me. I held my finger over the eyebrows about 1/8" up and it really looks like Aragorn to me now. So imo it's the hair that is making it look off.

Agreed, it seems his hair is sitting too high up on his head.. He kinda looks like a conehead

The outfit looks really good. It looks like the material is this enough that it drapes well, and it's not bulky like the ACI clothes. And I agree that the main issue is it seems like the head is a cone shaped. But if this is what we get, I'm sold.

That beard looks awesome!

Barahir is included, more than likely still in the box.
Regards the conehead its something we are stuck with despite shouts to change it from the start.

Since he will come with multiple sets of hands, I assumed his ring would be sculpted and painted directly onto his finger. This may just be a proto pic with generic hands.

I think this looks terrific!
