Looks incredible! I’m usually partial to rooted hair, but I think the sculpted version looks fantastic here. The detail in the fine hair stranding is very well done. Hopefully that finer detail makes it through production. This is the one I would get

The sculpted hair is fantastic! Sadly the rooted hair lacks texture and volume so it does not look completely right. If similar techniques used for Inart Aragorn were applied it could be superior to the sculpted version.
Will either version be available to order from other retailers? I'm not so interested in the base if that's the only exclusive piece.

Sculpted hair over dolly hair.

Hot Toys is currently proving this with their enhanced hair sculpting. For longer hair you get more limited articulation, but it's hassle free and you don't have to be a trained hairdresser to achieve the same effect.

I like the Asmus head, but I think I'm good with my Sideshow Ex (with the cassette tape and hand I've never actually displayed him with).

From a few feet away the Sideshow does the job, and while I love the movie, collection-wise he's never been more than an oddball one-off figure that gets moved around. He's currently chilling with all the Judge Dredds.

Okay, my question to @Asmus is the only way to get the sculpted head and the rooted version is to buy them both separately? I pre-ordered the rooted one, and really dig the sculpted as well, but I wanted to ask. Snake is one of those characters who I will almost always purchase what little product gets made, especially when done well.
