We have some traction here if they'll just keep answering. I think a lot of people would calm down if answers were given.

touche!
As long as asmus keep a good attitude in answering the questions, and as long as the answer makes sense.
We are all civilized geeks here.

I think we all just want to know what happened? I was looking forward to getting this figure and then saw the final pictures. Henrietta is one of many problems with this set.

I know the following is unlikely and unrealistic.

Can we make this issue known to the current legal IP holders of the EVIL DEAD 2 license that made the deal with @$MU$?

Why?

Simply . . . "Hey. You need to know that @$MU$ is totally screwing up your license with a piss poor quality figure of Ash Williams that is totally upsetting loyal fans of the film franchise."

Respect runs both ways.

It would probably help if you were to refer to the company by their proper name, "Asmus", rather than the alternative which can be construed as offensive.

The scratch mark is canceled because we re-use the same muscular skin on the body that we use on Dante and other figures,
so if the scratch are made, they will be just flat printing, not a physically sculpted.

Our boss thought this is a cut corner approach, if it has to be done like that, he would rather not have it.
First of all, I just want to say I appreciate you replying again and not just disappearing like previously.
Seriously, thank you.

Now for your answer..
You guys should think about which body you are re-using, how are you going to apply the scratches for the production piece, BEFORE you post your advertised prototype.

Advertising such prototype means people will expect to get what they see, and they will spend their hard earned money to get that item you've advertised.

You can't just advertise the ideal looking figure, and THEN trying to CUT CORNERS when it comes to production.
It doesn't and shouldn't work that way, because in the end, the customers are not getting what they expected, and paid for.
That is shady, that is wrong.

Never ever do that again. :)

Thank you for the answer, I really appreciate the honesty. Cutting corners i'd rather this be delayed and been better production. Would of rather not had the silly chainsaw gimmick of " chop action".

They haven't shown proper respect to collectors/customers for past blunders over the years and also how they've been (NOT) properly addressing issues with Ash.

Granted, Asmus is finally posting some answers, but not to all questions that are considered legitimate and valid.

I replied this morning on thread 63 for the arms, and was on from then.

Yes, I read that one as well, but still that's just the arms and not all questions are answered.

For example, my question regarding "are we going to get Henrietta with this detailed level of paintjob for the mass production, as stated by george (your rep)"?
WeChat 圖片_20220113203455.jpeg

You can just answer with "yes" if that is what the customers are getting :)

Just in case you don't understand my question.. it's about PAINTJOB details on Henrietta, nothing about the hair as you already explained that one.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to say sorry for cutting corners on the body scratches, because you explained it like it's a normal thing and everyone should just accept the cutting corners action. :)

Thanks for the answers, but...
Cutting corners in a 350 dollar figure? And im totally fine with some "downgrade", i expect that in any figure, but not when the figure is nothing like the prototype, whats the point of po then?
-Im more than sure that you showed a henrietta thats a prototype, not the production one, and hid henrietta in the full pics on purpose, i dont think thats honest.
- you posted close pics of the regular and hide many other deluxe elements.
- you should have some form of quality control, and more in high end collectibles that cost nearly as a ps5.
- if you need to cutt corners to the point you have to make a new figure, at least be honest with costumers that trusted you.
Im very dissapointed of how you managed this

So then you've misrepresented what we thought we were getting from the prototype. Those scratches are pretty important and are part of the look for Ash. You need to refund people (including their deposit) if they want to cancel now.

Nearly the whole figure is misrepresented compared with the prototype...not even the same body

I agree.

This thread is reflecting more poorly on collectors at this point. We get it, this figure did not meet expectations. At this point, just cancel your order and/or get your money back. But everybody wants to be a 'cool kid' and make jokes, when you're really just being a bully.
Bullying a company? That's a new one. Anyone attacking specific people is in the wrong but the company itself is fair game.

Almost all of the jokes and criticism are perfectly justified imo, because this figure is a joke.

Imagine that, instead of lying and hiding info, asmus posted info about how they had to cutt corners, that they no longer have any quaility control and the list of all the changes they had to make with clear pics of all...

@Asmus Yeah Im going have to call the "wtf" flag on openly admitting to cutting corners. Listen, this is a nearly $400 collectible people are dishing out HARD EARNED money for. You want people's business? You want their MONEY? Then deliver what you've promised. I don't fault people one bit for being upset and canceling orders. Really disappointing to hear this. Wow.

I think you have misunderstood what I mean,
We don't want the scratch to be a print on, it feel cut corner,
so we cancel the scratch. Not we cut corner on the production.

It is a production decision, I am sure if he knows the scratch has this much significant meaning, we would have kept it, even if it is only a print

Of course, we have been very busy handled cancellations.

Interesting. So you intentionally cut corners by reusing the muscular skin you use for Dante, then you decided that applying printed scratches to that reused body would be cutting corners.

Why did you cut corners by using Dante's muscular body in the first place? Was the extra $150 customers were paying for the 'luxury' edition not enough money for you to justify delivering what you'd advertised?

What body did you use for the prototype?

Why not use that same body for production?
Why not use the same body you advertised to customers?

Why not use the same body that made customers decide to pre-order your figure?

Why did your boss not research the brand he was working on before deciding significant details (like scratches and a nipple) were worth removing. These details were part of the reason customers were paying you an extra $150.

Voice your opinions but be civil and respectful when doing so; Asta has posted the board rules regarding Trolling, Attacks, and Flaming.

Disregard them and you'll earn yourself a vacation or ban from the board.

You've been warned.

All legit questions.
