Sideshow refunded me with little questions asked. I told them I was not pleased with the final product and a refund was granted.--
Let's see.
1. Going silent, not responding to customer e-mails, cancellation requests, and supposedly not responding to PayPal dispute claims.
2. Telling a customer (or customers) to wait a week (or so) for more reviews without addressing the customer's request to cancel.
3. Forwarding a customer's cancellation request to their "finance department" and no reply after a week.
4. Unable to switch the invoice/order from the luxury edition to a standard edition.
How much more "shady" can this get? Shadier than the real Slim Shady?
Let me guess, there will be those who chimed in somewhere within this discussion thread that the brand have every right to disregard such requests?
I'd be very interested in reading the justification of such.
Asides from the brand experiencing real hard ramifications, I do hope those who knowingly and willingly supported the brand within this thread in light of the shadiness will be viewed with diminished credibility and respect. Perhaps, they too are the ones who need be "canceled" along with the brand in using an euphemism that is popular in today's culture.
If the preceding comes off very critical, it's meant to be (for clarity and transparency).
If any within this thread spoke with Sideshow when canceling their pre-order with them, what was Sideshow's response given the circumstances of this debacle?
Are they viewing this as business as usual or are they even remotely concerned as a distributor/vendor about the brand's business ethics (lack of) among other things?
No. I am not attempting to place any blame/responsibility on Sideshow. Not in the least. Just curious if they have a formal position/view on the matter asides from the known customer service protocols many of us are familiar with.
Do you know how absolutely insane and pompous you sound when you post this garbage? Lose respect? Cancel? What’s next, Firing squad? Trying to stay out of this thread but you sure make it difficult.--

Yeah they sent me a follow up email saying they can't change it and to place a new order for the standard I was like nope just give me back my deposit.Oh did they tell you that? I got an email last week saying they were forwarded my request to the finance dept, but I haven't heard anything since.
With everyone else on Earth canceling right now, you'd think they'd be happy to sell us any Ash figure at all. Lol

Yeah usually before they switched it out with no issue but now it's different. I was like no thanks instead can you cancel althogether and refund my deposit, I haven't heard back from them after that.--
SO . . .
They got your deposit and supposedly they trying to swindle you into giving them more of your $ if you just want the standard edition without even explaining how/why they can't change it?
Unbelievable.
--Jeez, they're just determined to be as difficult as possible, aren't they.
--Does anyone have experience with repainting eyes, or applying iris decals? If I ultimately decide to keep my luxury edition order, and paint/modify it myself, my largest concern becomes Ash's eyes, which in many of the photos being released appear to have noticeably mis-aligned irises.
--It's funny I thought Asmus would disappear for a while until this was sorted out but no, they're over in the Ask Asmus LotR thread answering questions about hobbits lol
Looks like a lousy bootleg, but...Pics of henrietta, seeing as I forgot yesterday.
Prepare yourselves...
...this is also too much. I'm not big on uncritical collectors either (just check my comments in the Prime 1 Predator threads), but hoping they're cancelled or viewed with less respect on the board is just plain rude. If they're a YouTuber who shills crap products, their credibility will diminish naturally. But what if they're casual fans who just want an Ash figure? You want them to be treated differently for not crusading against a company? For not taking this as hard as you? --This must of cost them a fortune, so paying for license + production. Adding on top because of their inability to QC check the cancelled ones.
I honestly don't get the logic if they'd actually stuck with this and produced good stuff then fair. Not only have they lost money but alot of customers.
Here's hoping my supposed haired batch has hair find out Tuesday.

Others having low standards is frustrating, but it's not a crime. They're free to spend their money as they please.
On this, we agree. But it's not our place to dictate what other collectors support. We can make our own buying decisions and use words to convince others to do the same, but shaming them or cancelling them for enjoying something (especially a harmless hobby) is off the table.the ramification that affects all is such low standards and rewarding/support poor quality products to such a brand only reinforces the brand's to continue with negative ramifications for collectors, the brand (whether they realize it or not), and the hobby.
