Just saw these posted on Insta. Looks pretty solid here with the added details. Something I'm planning to do. Going to add more wet blood effect to the cuts as well. Might not need a full repaint after all.

I really like the blood on there! That damn eye drives me crazy though. I had to get that in photoshop and quickly airbrush over it (and the forehead, nose, chin, mouth... and eyebrow )

Likeness to Bruce is actually pretty good. That hair would benefit from a resculpt to fit the look more.

Yeah the slight mods needed to hammer it home in are nice to see, but it just shows how close the likeness already is. Not much you can really do physically with the sculpt. So it's a moot point. Those altercations would benefit a custom artist who was in the process of sculpting the head and to refine it. That's why Asmus practice of releasing Protos and preorder only after its gone into production really sucks, because the fans could help with any mods to get it perfect and they'd rather not do that I guess.

Anyways, after seeing these newest pics on Instagram I'm feeling much better about the sculpt and paint. I think after those few mods I'll be able to live with it. Will still see how the hair looks on his new body and what not though.

Riggs any chance you could do herietta with Prime one pose? Pushing up on the cellar door?

Thaaat would be more accurate to the movie. I'd need some kind soul to do a few measurements to achieve that. Width, length, depth of the cellar. Then measure from the bottom of the cellar to the bottom of an open cellar door.

Fair enough I had 4 minutes to spare and the eye on the photo bugged me, so thought I'd mess with it in photoshop, which led me to mess with other things for fun. It was partially a small attempt at steering the thread away from constant bickering. I'm not expecting people to magically alter the sculpts of their figures. I just wondered if I could work out the areas I found to be off in the time I had to spare

I'm glad you all love the original sculpt and hope you enjoy your figures when they arrive!

As an "innocent bystander" in this thread (who doesn't have this figure on order but has been reading this thread since the first production pictures came out, because I'm simply interested in the 1:6 hobby and like to stay up to date), that's the thing though: this is exactly how I would describe your behavior at the moment as well.

Anybody who posts even anything that is not entirely destructive of this figure or the brand can expect a barage of replies from the same group of posters telling him/her how bad the product is, how horrible the brand is, and that they are better off cancelling. That's what bothers - at least me - about these constant repeated posts. It discourages others from posting, which is why this thread has effectively become the same 4-5 people posting.

Anybody who doesn't agree with your views is labelled an "Asmus loyalist". This is exactly the same polarizing black & white thinking that's becoming so rampant everywhere today, and apparently it applies to the figure community as well: "anybody who doesn't agree with me must be the most extreme opposite". I've seen many strawman arguments in here as well, talking about what these "loyalists" must say or do to reinforce your own position/opinion, while nobody has actually shown any of that behavior.

And while this shouldn't have to be said in the first place, apparently it's necessary, so: no, I'm no "Asmus loyalist". I own three of their figures, all of which I had to or am planning to customize heavily to get to my liking, and I don't have anything on pre-order from them. I also think this figure has been an absolute disaster of a release, from bad production to bad behavior from Asmus in how they are dealing with it, and it has hurt my opinion of them quite a lot.
But as others have said, if I were Asmus, I'd probably stay clear of this thread as well by now, because it's become toxic to the point where they can't seem to do right anymore.

What you're calling out here has nothing to do with collecting, but is about tribal mob mentality and the propensity in online culture of bashing people. Sadly, I've seen this amongst collectors quite a bit because of the small niche community we're huddled in. Sometimes collectors forget that the discussions and critiques should be about the collectibles and not about their fellow collectors. It's not a competition or a posturing situation where we need to define hierarchies and cliques within the community.
I've seen collectors gathering to bash a figure so badly that there's barely any constructive discourse. In just about all of those cases the collectors didn't even buy the figure in question. Those who did buy it were all pleased with the figure, despite any minor concerns. If you're curious about what I'm describing recall the situation with Sideshow's Jack Burton which got a barrage of daily attacks, but none of those collectors actually bought it. Anyone who did buy it loved it, but I suppose they were all fools who deserved to be bashed for their low standards within the collecting community. This doesn't have to happen.

In fairness for dropping the ball and being so darn defiant about it, Asmus earned their public flogging and it’s satisfying to read them getting their comeuppance.
Now the folks posting about how painful and torturous this thread is really need to help me understand why they keep reading it.
I think it’s a fair question…there are a whole bunch of books, movies, and TV shows that I consider to be painful experiences, so I avoid them.
Genuinely curious; if you find this random internet thread on this figure to be so painful, what compels you to keep reading it?

Haha, thanks. I wasn't suggesting people crack out the nail files and start sanding down his details, but it was more a case of me being curious about what parts of the face weren't sitting well with me. Once I'd quickly messed with the picture, I thought I'd share it in case anyone else thought the same thing, but couldn't put their fingers on what areas didn't look right. I'm sure you and whoever else works on this figure will be able to do some awesome paintwork on him!

I agree with you.

As for a member here who mentioned about the likes he got with his opinion/post, well, if that really matters, I also got even more likes with my opinion/post in asmus' own page in facebook.. and it's the most likes in that comments section.

Point is, everyone here has the right to post their own personal opinion. If any members are complaining about a company that is disappointing to them, then so be it. If they are keep complaining about it, maybe it's because they are very disappointed for their high expectation, after they paid with their hard earned money. If you don't like it, hit the ignore button or just skip reading the thread.

I gave my complaint for asmus, but in fairness, also give them feedback. In short, it's all constructive criticism, and every words has its own reasoning.
I've never called them shady without any solid proof. But that's all, just like my FB post, I hope they fix how they do things from now on, be a good honest company.

I'm glad this tread is moving to a constructive discussion as well, that new Henrietta sculpt by @RiggsMcClane is very cool, and promising!

Although this release has been considered a disappointment by the vast majority I really hope it gets people's spark back for evil dead customising and we get a bunch of runs for customs evil dead parts, we desperately need an evil dead 2 ash headsculpt using today's technology

Yes, I think the positive side of this for the people is that it sparks the customizing movement from the people who has the skill to do it.
Very interesting to see how it goes, and I agree, there has to be people with mad 3D skills who can make a decent Ash headsculpt with great likeness!

It would be amazing if we upgrade this figure with some small projects, a headsculpt, wich body is better to replace it, new clothes... Im totally in, i love evil dead to much
