Ubisoft has announced the first premium paid DLC for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood today. Entitled 'The Da Vinci Disappearance' the DLC will bring both single-player and multiplayer content to ACB, with the story-driven aspect picking up after the fall of the Borgia family in Rome.
When Ezio's lifelong personal friend Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists - an underground cult intent on changing the course of mankind - he must don his cloak and hidden daggers once again, on a quest to recover stolen paintings that hold the key to locating Da Vinci before time runs out. Along the way, Ezio will discover two new locations and two new gameplay features, across eight missions that introduce ten new achievements.
Additionally, The Da Vinci Disappearance's multiplayer component will be the most substantial update yet, delivering a brand new map, four new characters and two new game modes. The new map called Alhambra, is set in Spain's exotic Albaicin of Granada and comprises both indoor and outdoor areas suitable for prey to hide and predators to lurk among the crowds.
Escort and Assassinate are the two new MP game modes, with the former pitting two teams of four players against one another, as each team protects their VIP target from being assassinated by the opposing side's VIP. In Assassinate mode, 6-8 players fight in a straight-up deathmatch in a single frantic ten minute round.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC will be out in early March 2011 for 800 Microsoft Points. Check out the trailer here.
