I have this feeling that this game is going to take a long time to get nearly everything out of it if you want to unlock all those locations in the game. I am only about 30% complete but see soooo many bases and ? locations still out there. I am also feeling quite burned out from all the boat battles and opening chests and collecting.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

My game appears to have frozen at the start of sequence 12 (there are 13 in the game apparently)

It just stays on loading forever.

Bizarrely its not even crashed. I can still access the menus and EVEN GET OUT OF THE ANIMUS and walk around in game. But inside the animus its just stuck on loading.

Tried restarting, tried installing the game in case it was the disc ...nothing .... it even lets me choose restart checkpoint and restart memory ...but just nothing but loading...

I've been googling but I can't find any reference to this happening to anyone else ?!

GAH!!

Well my game is still messed up.
Can't find anything online that helps.

Hoping the upcoming patch might correct this or otherwise I'm done.

I would report that. If nobody reports it, it won't get fixed.

Yeah I will do, thanks.

Was hoping I could find something that would solve the issue.

Tried installing the disc, uninstalling the patch, reinstalling the patch .... all to the same result of no progress.

I'm only 2 hours in and I don't have a ship or anything yet but I gotta be honest, I'm not having too much fun.

The game is incredibly difficult and explains absolutely nothing. Not the main story, those missions are insanely simple but trying to sneak up on a contract or into a fort... This is my first AC and I'm finding the stealth stuff is damn near impossible. It's also really repetitive even though it's beatiful and open and theres alot to do. All of Havana sort of runs togeather, theres not many landmarks to figure out where you are. The Treasure maps are insanely vague. And it's alot of finding chests, more than I expected.

I will keep going because it was so expensive but I was expecting better. I hope things improve soon. Right now I find myself missing the way smoother stealth mechanics of the Arkham games and am wishing I'd bought Origins.

If this is your first no wonder. Give it time, be patient, and "think out of the box". That's where these games become great. This is not call of duty shoot kill bang bang. It requires patience and timing.

Yea I don't play Call of Duty or any of that trash and I'm patient I just find the system a little clunky.

It's nowhere near as refined as Batman for example and that feels like what it's trying to mimic with the counters in combat and overall stealth balance. Also the lack of indications as to when you can take someone down etc is pretty annoying.

I love everything there is to do and how huge it is, it's a very lively sandbox but the level of character control feels really dated even with all the climbing and freerunning abilities.

And like I said the complete lack of explanation over most things like what moves you have etc is staggeringly unfriendly.

There are indications when you can take someone down. If they are highlighted or within melee range (or jumping down range) the Assassinate option will appear in the upper right of the screen. Press the corresponding button and they're done.

Stalking zones are also your friend. Use the eagle vision to identify them.

I'm in Nassau now and the games improved big time. Just finished recruiting a crew. The design of these islands is a million times better than Havana. I'm alot better at the stealth now too but it does still feel clunky at times. Gotta stop and head out for the night but gonna play some more in the morning.

Man, the dissapointment continues. I just jumped back in for an hour. Got the hang of naval combat even though theres no explanation on how to use your mortars or that heavy shot is even a thing. :lol Jerk offs were too busy showing off their studio in the dumbest sidemission in video game history to put in proper explanations.

But whats pissing me off is I braved past 2 forts and fought and outran a damn frigate trying to get down to Mystery Island only to hit a giant wall that told me I wasn't alloud to progress any further in that direction... WHat? Totally ****ed up that they limit the amount of Sandbox you can go into at a time. Theres alot of great stuff in this game but way too much bull****.

My suggestion to anyone who wants this but doesn't have it yet is wait for a sale. It's worth a play but not for $60 or $80 for Gold.

You can tell you've never played an AC game before. :lol

Alot of people haven't and aren't going to just figure out something like press and hold q to fire mortars from a ship. Basic things like how you move with wsad and such don't need explanation, it's a no brainer but to not tell the player at all once in 40 hours to not aim in order to fire your heavyshot while broadsiding is really dumb. I figured it out when I found a tutorial fans made online because so many other people had no idea how to work all the Naval combat. I have alot of Steam friends who are let down and putting up mediocre reviews on their profile based on all the little problems adding up.

But even that's all forgivable, what isn't is putting up an imaginary glass wall that you can't pass through and limiting your open world to a fraction of what your advertising right on your map, totally unnacceptable. I'd get a refund right now based on that one single fact if I could. I didn't realise I was buying Under the Dome TVG.

I really couldn't stand it. I have a PS3 copy for $5 more than Gamestop offers if anyone needs it. The new XCOM has all of my love.

The Bureau? I got a free copy and it looks awesome, I need to give it a try.

They've always had the glass bit. You can only play bits and portions of that memory until certain points in the game. It can be annoying but I've played so many of these that you know the deal.
