I don't mind Mikasa, but I can't help but think that anime is just full of her archetype. Personally think there are much better female characters in the show, like Sasha and Ymir. These two ladies don't really get a spotlight in the anime, but their back stories get some coverage in later manga chapters. Pretty interesting characters.

Also, I just realized the guy who does the music for AoT is Hiroyuki Sawano. The same guy who does music for Gundam Unicorn, and Kill la Kill. No wonder this show is so great!

I love kill la kill. It reminds me of guran Lagan . Yea if you guys read the manga then I'm sure you'd see that other female characters on the show are much better than mikasa like Annie and of course Ymir. Mikasa is just way to overpowered and bland to me. Same quiet crazy chick we see in other types of anime. Nevertheless she has an awesome character design and looks great next to eren on a shelf lol.

A lot of the folks who worked on Gurren Lagann at Gainax went on to become Trigger who make Kill la Kill.

I just started watching this tonight. It's really good. The music is beyond excellent. I'm only 4 episodes in, but I think if it stays as good as it's been I could go for the figs.
