Audrina Patridge makes $10K just to drink at a bar

While these forums aren't usually filled with celebrity gossip, this story really made me scratch my head...

In a giant "^^^^ you!" to me from the universe, I've learned that Audrina Patridge of MTV's The Hills gets paid $10,000 just to show up at clubs and drink. Nobody ever pays me to drink. Though somebody once tried to pay me not to drink. I told them to take their million bucks and scram. NY Daily News reports:

Not only does the contract require the $10k she earned, it also promises that Patridge and her entourage will be well taken care of. The Maxim model, 23, demands "a secure VIP area with complimentary beer, mixed drinks and bottle service (two bottles) and at least one security guard at all times," according to the rider.

If somebody shows up a club screaming "Oh my God, I have to get in! Audrina Patridge is here!", I think the bouncers should legally be allowed to sterilize that person. I dunno, that's just me. Call me crazy, but I'd like to see the human race survive and not be snuffed out in a "poof" of fake tits, lattes and vapid ********s. Unless that "poof" is the sound of an H-bomb hitting Spencer Pratt in the neck.

That is exactly why they do it. Some people like to see celebrities. They want to hang out at the same locations celebrities do.

Seriously did you just ask that question? Do you not live in Socal. Come one every restaurant, club, bar , shop ,etc.. that gets a big name celeb hanging out at, buying stuff from, etc... attracts 1000s of followers. It might not be for us but there are tons of people in Socal who will go somewhere just because a celeb does.

It might not be for us but there are tons of people in Socal who will go somewhere just because a celeb does.

Its not just a SoCal thing my friend, I'm up in NorCal and it occurs, I've been on vacation in multiple states across these fine United ones and it occurs there too. Dozens upon dozens upon dozens of people will start going places, eating things, drinking things, using products because a certain "celebrity" does it and while the MTV fauxebrities may not be our cup of tea they are well known to the demographic these clubs are going for or else you wouldn't see Lauren from the Hills and a guy I'm assuming is from that shows as well in the new LG phone commercials. I'm just shocked they can command such a paycheck since they aren't really doing anything but being themselves on camera.

If you don't believe me the most notorious factor is the People's Most Beautiful list and the Maxim Hot 100. Once those lists hit you'll see people who had no interest in a certain figure suddenly become in love with them and hear their name dropped a thousand times around.

People are in love with Hollyweird and the advertisers and apparently club owners are aware of it and willing to pay.
