Yeh, it's based on a British word & numbers game show called 'Countdown'. In the word part of the game contestants select letters one at a time to fill up the board with 9 vowels and consonants, from which they have to construct the longest word they can. Contestants select whether subsequent letters are vowels or consonants, so these sorts of combinations are highly unlikely.
