I wouldn't be surprised if we see the IM armor PO by then.

Mark 43 might get people excited (and would be easiest for HT to begin with as it would just be a repaint. perhaps add a new RDJ headsculpt and/or new BD parts that would be accurate to the film). But I'm thinking that if HT unveils the line before the movie's even released, they might start with Hawkeye (with his new sleeved jacket). Mark 42 is yet to be shipped in other countries and is yet to be sold out in SSC, same with the regular Thor TDW, and Stealth Cap from TWS might have just started shipping by March/April. If stocks of any or all of those 3 figures are still available it might be better to start with someone who's long sold out (and is fetching crazy aftermarket prices).

This would hurt the Mk 42 sales...Hawkeye has a good aftermarket value and would probably sell fast.

Really? It's still six, seven months away. And the BD Robo PO went up before the clean figure was released.

I used to think that way too, but the "hurting sales" rationale may be a bit overblown.

And when was the last time HT made a Robocop figure, clean or battle damaged? What are its chances of getting re-released in a year or two?

HT has no worry about concurrent IM releases affecting sales. Diecast Mk 3, workshop broken crap Mk3, workshop accessories add on set, IM3 Bones, IM3 Peacemaker, etc all PO'd in a small window and they'll all do well.

If Mark 42 hasn't sold out or isn't close to selling out by next spring, delaying the Mark 43 PO isn't going to spur sales.

HB will be insane if HT pulls it off. The size alone should be incredible. Now to see if it will come with an IM armor that can be put inside.

I think Ultron's first form will be the first actually, or the second at least.

In stark contrast, I'm sure that many companies (including HT), are rejoicing over a purely mech character like Ultron.
Add in the fact that he has no actor likeness to worry over and it's a match made in heaven for many toy companies.
