Bring on Quicksilver!

^ Heck yeah. MUCH cooler than the DOFP version and a good translation from comic to "real life".
I personally love the DOFP version, more so as a movie adaptation of Pietro's personality from the "X-Men: Evolution" cartoon. AOU's Quicksilver definitely feels more like his comic counterpart though, which is pretty great in of itself.

Internet was down :slap

Did I miss a new trailer or something?
Awaits Brainiac's response at seeing the movie promo... although come to think about it its a movie promo stickered up ad connected to a movie which came out 3 years ago... odd

I've actually never seen that cartoon, so I'm not familiar with the version. I actually haven't picked up a comic since the 90's, and even as a kid then, I had a LOT of my dad's old comics from the 60-70s, so I definitely have a preference to the "old school" versions of characters. Don't get me started on the whole Samuel L. Jackson Nick Fury thing LOL.

I think Sam Jackson's Nick Fury is alright but 616 Fury is just so much more badass, and it's just of the way he's written. I'm not a fan of how Ultimate Fury was tbh, I didn't really care for Fury much until I read the classic Sgt. Fury run, Fury MAX, Secret Invasion, Secret Warriors, and just gained even more love for him in Original Sin. I just really wish they wrote the MCU Fury like 616 Fury.

Question - I'm learning all about foreign prices on these and they are def cheaper. Anyone have experience in this? Is shipping crazy? What are the best places to purchase? Thanks in advance.

When I was growing up, Nick Fury was always one of my favorites. Being that he wasn't one of the more popular Marvel characters, I was blown away when they did the Fox TV movie (as a little kid, I enjoyed it, though I doubt it would hold up LOL), and he had an action figure in the Spider Man cartoon toyline. So when he finally comes to the big screen and gets a friggen Hot Toys figure, it's Sam Jackson and I'm pretty bummed ha.

You'd be really bummed with what's happened to Fury in the current 616 universe. The Original Sin story really crapped all over him.

The prices won't be that much cheaper when u factor in shipping and potential duty charges. Didn't u start a thread about this? Generally prices are going to be really close. And then u have to worry about customer service. I always recommend using a local seller or one you know has great local CS. I would rather pay a few dollars more and know I'll have coverage. I prefer sideshow. They will replace an arm, head, whole figure. With most places outside the country u need to return ship it. Then maybe get a refund or new item sent. Which is a not short turn around.

I would recommend buying local or at least in the same country.

So I wonder if this Quicksilver is faster than DoFP Quicksilver. I did like the X-Men take, but I'm liking the look and attitude of this version as well.

Thanks, yeah, I did start a thread about this after I wrote this up and realize I could probably get more of a response if I started a whole thread

You are welcome.

Prices are cheaper over seas becuase local places factor in their import costs and add that to the Msrp. When buying overseas you end up with hidden costs you can't see up front. And that customer service issue is not a small one. With such high end figures you want to be sure you can count on the seller. And with the long delay from payment and preorder to production and shipment some companies can't be counted on to even be open any longer. Just think about worst case...if they take your money and nothing gets shipped for whatever reason what recourse do you have. Can u call? Do u speak the language? Ect. No one else can know what risks you are willing to accept or what you place priority on. If it's just the cheapest Msrp then just do an Internet search. But that's only a small part of it.
