Chris Hemsworth doesn't want to play Thor. He want to play Chris Hemsworth.
Even tho he's a bad actor and has no right to complain about anything at all. :dunno

'Avengers: Infinity War's Chris Hemsworth Reveals His Big Worry About Thor In The Movie
By BRANDON DAVIS - March 23, 2018

Rolling into Avengers: Infinity War, Chris Hemsworth wanted to make sure the Thor he and Taika Waititi crafted in their Ragnarok movie was present for the ensemble.

"I came into this and called Joe and Anthony and said, ‘Look, don’t write me the old Thor, we’ve got a new Thor now,’" Hemsworth told New.com.au. When the Russo Brothers, Joe and Anthony, told him the Thor they were directing would be something new, Hemsworth initially insisted it should not be. "I was like ‘no, no, no’ and I was really protective of what I’d created with Taika."

Hemsworth came around to some of the changes, though, when he realized the threat of Thanos was enough to alter the God of Thunder's perspective. "They then said, ‘No this is a whole different thing; Thor’s never faced something like this, never been a part of this large and ensemble,'" Hemsworth said. "I think for our characters it was difficult but for me a hugely exciting adventure."

Looking back at The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hemsworth felt like he had more to offer the ensemble films than he gave to the first two. "I felt stuck about what I was giving there and felt like I probably wasn’t bringing my portion to it as much as I could have"

This guy grates on me he's such a snowflake. I wish the Russos had just had Thanos pitch Thor into the cosmos and then Loki could have a nice arc. Bring back Thor with a different actor later. I can't believe any actor would call up directors like the Russos and tell him their business. What a big friggin' baby. Not like it's Infinity War or anything.:thwak

Hemsworth doesn't get Thor or if he does he doesn't want to be faithful to his established comic book history. Didn't want the helmet, didn't want the wig and didn't want the serious nordic thunder god who has been killing his enemies for hundreds of years with a hammer. Thank heaven the Russos reigned him in and diplomatically set him straight. Joke machine Thor won't work in this story or against this villian in a credible way. I was pretty conflicted watching Ragnarok, it did have some good lines and some good action scenes but I felt I was watching an alternate universe Thor. The Russos said they had plans for Thor and were excited about finally getting their hands on the character. You can bet they're not going to waste him on comic relief and will probably give us the most comic faithful version yet. So glad the Russos are in charge.

I've warmed to that film a good bit but this is what I thought I was watching when I first saw that movie in a theatre:

It makes sense. Thor 3 was basically a reboot and they finally made the character memorable. Thor in the previous movies sucked. He was boring as **** and no one gave a **** about him, not even the Avenger films. He just doesn't want to go back to the bore of thunder. Henthworth is a natural comedian.

THOR is just a comedian now...

I thought Ragnarok was hilarious and even own it. And I give Hemsworth props for being able to do comedy - not everyone can. But I was real glad I had warning about Ragnarok and at no point did I think IW should be a laugh fest - some moments, sure. But I wanted to be gutted for IW which unfortunately I don't think I will get with Hemsworth anyway. Not that he cares since he just wants to have fun. Fun, fun, fun. He's alright as acting goes, got the look (with hair anyway) but suspect his career won't be a long one (not that it matters if you are rich).

Yeah, I'm so glad for the Russos. They didn't hire Hemsworth so guess they had to coax the baby along. I hope they get more hair on him for IW2 (and I hope his costumes were extra heavy and hot)

If you can't be interesting being serious in that profession it's a problem. Hemsworth IMO is just not that good. He got better, and the first 2 movies had other issues, but there's Hiddleston's Loki stealing the films. IMO for Ragnarok being a different Thor is one thing but re IW in theory his exiled people and friends and Earth are threatened. Also the Guardians are on board so how many comedians does IW need?
