I think one of the most amazing aspects of IW is that you can seemingly watch it as the capstone of any one MCU series while just filling in the rest through the eyes of whichever character/group you follow.

You can watch IM trilogy, TA/AOU/CW and then IW and experience it all through Stark.
Cap TFA/Avengers/TWS/AOU/CW then IW through Cap's persective.
Thor trilogy then IW as Thor's journey.
GotG 1/2/IW.
Dr. Strange/IW
CW/Homecoming/IW
CW/BP/IW
TIH/Avengers/AOU/Ragnarok/IW
Even AOU/CW/IW for just Scarlet Witch and Vision.

It's crazy how many of those actually *work*. Sure IW is most satisfying when you understand all overlapping arcs and references but it's mind boggling that they wrote the narrative so that you don't have to watch every single MCU entry in order to understand what is going on.

After infinity war 2 the marvel cinematic universe would seem complete. You have Ant-Man 2 in a few months which should lead into IW2 and Captain Marvel next year which will lead to Infinty war 2. It would be cool if at the end credits scene of IW2 it’s revealed that one of the heroes turns out to be a skrull.

Marvel is probably working a way into Secret Invasion

That’s pretty cool truly something for everyone.

Now let me go watch Green Lantern then JL.

And people said WB were making “serious movies” not comedies lol

I’m looking for a reprieve anyways i’ll need a break after IW2.

Then i’ll be energized for Spidey 2 lol

But the draft tastes so good. :lol

IW2 will beat it don’t worry.

MCU only 10 years old vs 41 year old SW give it time lol

DC: Tell me his name again.

Nope watch it again.

Yes some of it is deleted scenes related but the best most critical part of his analysis were from all the character visions which were all in the movie.

PLUS even with the deleted scene there was enough kept in to make it work.

Do not deny AOU its credit :lol

Besides it gives me the opportunity to say “Khev and I were right all along” just to annoy people lol

Oh don't get me wrong, I do agree that Marvel had a plan moving forward from the first Avengers movie, and all movies from that were in the service of realizing that plan. Sure there may be changes on the plan along the years, but they were more like refinements than actual changes. It's what I like so much about the MCU.

In AoU, it was Marvel that was really pushing for the Thor Jacuzzi scene while Whedon wanted to cut it out. They actually had to make a compromise to keep that cave scene, allowing Whedon to keep his farm-scene in return. Marvel really wanted that scene there for a reason.

So yeah I do buy that the cave scene was important in foreshadowing what would happen in Ragnarok and IW, but I do not think it was as specific as the video above said. It's easy to shoehorn bits and pieces into specifics with some hindsight. I think Marvel had a plan at AoU, but it was nowhere near solid enough to foreshadow very specific parts of the IW film.

I like that POI. I never thought of it that way, but it makes total sense. The past few weeks the IM trilogy was being shown here on cable TV. Thinking about it now, yeah you can definitely see Stark's POV going into IW. I love it! :hi5:

I want to go back in time to 2008 and tell the audience walking out from seeing IM1 that Marvel will have an epic IW movie with GOTG involved including Rocket Racoon and Groot.

Then i’ll tell them that JL was made and it was a disaster as bad as AOTC.

Oh and also tell them TDKR by Nolan will suck.

I just want to experience them laughing at me lol

When they first announced Guardians of the Galaxy, my first thought was that this will be Marvel's true test. If they can make a movie with a talking racoon and tree make sense to the general public and make them like it, then they can accomplish anything. :D

What is AOTC?

“HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA yeah right!!! A talking raccoon and a walking tree making more bank than THE FREAKING JUSTICE LEAGUE first time on screen?!! Ha!! You are gonna eat your words man! JL is an easy billion! No one knows who iron man is! Hahahahahaah”

And they would test you by asking: and who's president of the United States, future boy?

Jye: Donald Trump.

Then the laughing really begins.

Because Hulk is like all other big bullies, when punched in the nose they cower.

Yup ... but according to the Russos, there's also more to it than that:

Anthony and Joe Russo appeared on a May 6 episode of Happy Sad Confused with Josh Horowitz to talk Infinity War spoilers, and during the episode, they broke down exactly why we got a lot more Banner and a lot less Hulk in Infinity War. Throughout the movie, Banner tries desperately to bring Hulk out, but the green guy refuses. But it’s not because the transformation mechanism isn’t working. “If the Hulk were to say why,” Joe Russo explained, “it’s that Banner only wants Hulk for fighting. He’s had enough of saving Banner’s ***.”
“People have interpreted as the Hulk’s scared,” Joe Russo mused, referring to how Thanos soundly defeated him in one-on-one combat in the film’s opening. “But it’s really reflective of his journey from Ragnarok, that these two characters are constantly in conflict with each other over control.” It has more to do with the internal conflict between Banner and Hulk than any bruised egos.
Banner expressed concern in Ragnarok that if he became the Hulk again, he might never revert, but that still happened in Infinity War anyway. Remember that also in Ragnarok, both Banner and Hulk accused Thor of only caring about their transformed counterpart. Hulk might lack Banner’s intelligence, but he’s smart enough to know that the other Avengers only use him for his brute strength. And similarly, when a fight happens, everyone pressures Banner to bring Hulk out. Does anybody really care about either of them?
On Sakaar, Hulk was basically worshipped as a celebrity which is why he didn’t really want to leave. It wasn’t until Thor convinced him they were friends that he agreed to help, but these days, Hulk is over being used and abused.
“We thought it’d be more interesting to explore Banner as a hero rather than someone that whines to get help from his alter-ego who he dislikes,” Joe Russo added. “The Hulk is not interested in helping [Banner] anymore. These two have reached an impasse with each other.”
