It's hard to judge a movie when it's clearly just a piece of a whole. Like LOTR for example.

My immediate response to Endgame was that it was simply the second half of the story, just like Kill Bill Volume 2. Look how well they match up. Part one was almost non-stop, high energy fighting and insane elaborate fight sequences. Part two was a lot of talking, exposition, even soul searching. But still some action.

It's almost unfair to judge one without the other.

I enjoyed Endgame, but it didn't have me on the edge of my seat the way IW did. I honestly think that's the better movie. There are SCENES that people are going to praise and remember forever in EG that will end up on "Top Ten of all Times" and stuff.

But just my opinion, I loved IW more, start to finish. So I just wanted to bump this thread so nobody forgets this guy while gushing over his younger brother.

And one last thing, as an almost lifelong Iron Man fan (I picked up my first issue, 231, the first "neo-classic" armor right after the Armor War) I just have to say that it's been beyond a dream come true seeing dozens and dozens of Iron Man armors in the flesh on the big screen. But the single one that wowed me the most: IM mark 50 from IW.....damn, what a work of art.

Endgame took a dump all over IW the more you think about this!!

I'm glad you liked Endgame. I liked it too. Didn't LOVE it, but I liked it. I just happen to have liked Infinity War more.

I really appreciate that endgame didn’t undermine infinity war as I was expecting it to. That was probably my biggest worry going in.

I agree and felt the same.

But of the 2 (IW & EG), I still prefer IW to EG. But both are amazing movies, most likely never to be repeated again with an 11 year 22 movie cinematic journey. Just mind boggling...

I feel that MK50 was the best toe to toe fight scene with IM ever done. All the suit capabilities were exhausted in that scene and it was beautiful. I tear up watching the Tony fight in IW.

Definitely. If there were ever a figure that would start me down the Hot Toys path, it would be Mark 50. But I swore to my dear mother the day I left home I'd never get hooked on drugs. Can't break my promise!

I agree, IW was an overall better film than EG, but I think EG had better highs and lows than IW. These two are different enough in tone and story to be unique, yet flow really well from one into the other. Amazing work by the entire production team here.

That's a good comparison. It's probably more Kill Bill Vol.1 and Vol.2 than it is Matrix Revolutions and Reloaded..

Saw it yesterday. Overall great but not nearly as good a movie as IW.
The plot in this felt forced. A greatest hits flashback. It was basically Back to the future 2, hence the constant joking about the inconsistency of BTTF timetravel.
Plot:weak - everything else:great.
