Can anybody point me in the right direction with photos of the mark 3 with turtle wax?

It's spread around the threads. Here is one from the user Nacho:

Here's another one from someone else:

After watching IM3, I'm starting to feel this piece is the definitive Iron Man suit. The Mark III bust is great but it lacks the light up arc reactor. I was looking forward to a 1/4 scale Mark 42 but that suit barely got any action or screen time. I am on the fence about picking up this bust. I don't own any busts and I don't even know where to put this and quite frankly I don't care.

It would be nice if face plate is movable and there is Stark's face sculpt in it.

:exactly: I'm in the exact same boat!

Pitched the idea to the lady and she said NO. Her follow-up response was the arc reactor looked tacky, womp womp.

So is there not going to be a full sculpted arc reactor in this one? Just like a white clear plastic part for the light up feature?

This is exactly why I don't have this preordered. I was so excited for this till I saw the cheap *** arc reactor, they would have been better off leaving the reactor off the piece if they wanted to go cheap on it. All they had to do to make this incredible was recycle the war machine bust reactor, epic fail sideshow, you took a life-size high end bust and made the focal point off of a $5 action figure reference point. Sorry to trash this for anyone getting it, everything else looks cool on it, I am just so disappointed it was a piece that I wanted so bad till ss went cheap again, my god if u arnt even gonna try to do the arc just leave it off for gods sake, rant over.

Iron man 3 was so horrible for iron man and war machine I felt like crying for two of my favorite comic characters!!!!! I won't get into my reasons so I don't spoil it for anyone but god did the critics get it wrong as usual here, worst iron man movie of the three by far.

Even the Im mark VI lsb has more details than this. I hope they will fix this issue for the delay.

They can't just slap on a WM reactor on there cuz that's based on Mark II whereas the VII is an upgrade to the VI with the triangular design.

Not really a spoiler.. but did you guys happen to see the arc reactor on the de-powered Mk42? It was just a white opaque disc. Looked just like the white plastic disc on this bust that we worried about. Just thought it was interesting.

Like this?

The white looks ok here and I guess it's because the Mk 42 isn't powered off the arc reactor. The blue tinted disc on the VII bust looks cheap.

Exactly, thanks for posting the pic
When I look at the Hall of Armor photos, they all have the white plastic disc as well.
It looks close enough for me that I don't think it's going to bother me in the final product. Waiting for final production pics.

The white disc looks ok cuz it's like tony isn't in the suit, the blue tinted disc looks horrible because it's like they are trying to make it look like its powered on all the time and it just looks like a cheap toy action figure. If they would change the disc to a clear one I might reconsider this.

Don't know if they were already posted but found these on a forum (Siam-Collector) when searching for images.

It's not the production piece! It's a old prototype painted by Legacy Effects. There is a picture of this version on the Legacy Effects website :

And OBigFace from siam-collector said that this is a photo taken from the workshops of Legacy Effects.

Ok...I'm really confused with all these pictures. Is this piece going to be painted or are these customs which appear to be made with real metal?

I haven't ordered this yet because of the bad taste I have left in my mouth with the first one I ordered years ago. The one shown at SDCC looked to be the exact same sub-par paint as the first one. I was turned off the second I saw the SDCC pics and just forget it.

However, if this is what were actually getting....then SS has my attention again.

Chris

Those pics look pretty sweet, but they don't show it with the lights off. I may have to wait for in hand pics to decide on this, maybe ss will fix it by release.

I'm guessing the blue painted on disc was just a placeholder at the con until the final product is fitted with a proper light up reactor?
