That's cool. I heard it's supposed to be more in the style of the first Alien and Predator movies, with them trying to do most of the effects practically.

I am holding out hope for this. I will see it and I hope they can make this move a lot better than the last. I enjoyed the last one because I am such a big Predator fan, but it could have and should have been so much more.

With Anderson involved, it will be crap flavored crap, with crap frosting with a side of crap. The ONLY movie of his which is actually watchable is Mortal Kombat, I got nothing bad to saw about that one...

Uh, Anderson is not involved at all in this film. The Strause brothers are directing it, not Anderson.

I have my reservations about that Alien design though.
I am fine with going back to an ALIENS look, but I bet that will be the only HT Alien released that will go with Marines now....
I don't like the fact that the ALiens are getting farther and farther away from a Giger based design. Looks like the boys at ADI went out and bought some 2000 SUX's! Cause the Aliens are beginning to collectively drive them!

As for Preds, glad to see a return to the more traditional Predator 1 look! He is still my fave of the lot!

I hadn't thought of that one.

Yeah, I guess since HT has pretty much done each of the variants in AVP1 now (Am I right? Who's left? Scar/Celtic/Chopper/Elder/both versions Ancient Elders/Alien/Grid....anyone left other than the people maybe...one more Pred? That one that died first??? A Queen???), so any new ones will most likely be AVP 2 promotionals.
And, the new/old Preds are clearly more P1 than anything I have seen since.

What ever they do, they must not set it in modern day Texas!
I hope it's good, but I don't have all that much confidence in the project from what I've heard about it so far.

I dont care how bad it sux, I will be there and I will have fun with it. I am not a huge fan of AVP(story was crap,IMHO), but I watch it a lot. I do a lot of fast forwarding to the cool parts, but still, I cant get enough Alien/Predator!

I don't think Predatros have ever been "good" or "bad" IMO. They are hunters plain and simple. At least that's my take on it. I know they show up and kill people which can be though of as "bad" , but they didn't just maul unarmed people. They hunt "worthy" targets for sport.

I'm with you!The story and characters might suck, but it'll be a FUN movie to just watch. That's why FOX can spend so little money on it with a crappy story and a crappy director (Paul Anderson in AvP) and they KNOW that all Aliens/Predator fans would be on it like white on rice.It's a great business decision on their part!

From what I've read at various websites and from people who claim to have a leaked script, the PredAlien should be making a full "adult" appearance in this movie.

I just read on Ain't it Cool News that the Directors made some script changes before production.
I hope it will be enjoyable. However, it's unfortunate what Fox is doing to the properties though.
