You know what, just leave me out of your debate. The ONLY reason I even posted that I was Flex was to get some clarity. I understand the frustration and anger at Sideshow's debacle with this preorder, but don't go using me as an example when there were three other FX conversions as well.

The lower ES is part of what makes it an 'exclusive' piece, IMO. There are a ton of people who think that the green Hulk looks better than the grey, but the low ES is part of the reason it goes for 1200 or more. Even if there were 300 of both the regular and exclusive, the ex would be more sought after version because of the hand because that was the accessory with the original, plus it adds an extra touch of gruesomeness.

I completely understand how a low ES is beneficial to scalpers, but I don't see how that benefits fans in any way. From my point of view it does not seem very intuitive. But I'm just a collector, so what do I know? I'm just glad I was lucky enough to secure one.

You are VERY lucky to have secured one. But any collector will tell you that a low ES will just add value to the collectibility of an item. Think about it, would this piece be AS desirable or sought after if it had an ES of 5,000??? I doubt it

This discussion/debate has been going on for years. It's best to just accept the fact that what makes a piece collectible to one person may differ greatly from what makes it collectible to someone else. Much the same way some people would pay any price for a "grail" Star Wars piece, where most die-hard Marvel collectors would just scratch their heads and ask "why?". And vice-versa.

For me, a piece that is from a line that I love that has a lower ES than another piece from the same line, is more collectible and personally valuable. That's one reason I was willing to pay $450 for the Frank vs Wolf Man SSE dio. If the ES had been significantly higher, I would not have been willing to pay anywhere near that much.

My SSE was a bit more, and I fully expect to have to pay another premium if and when Sideshow decides to release the CBTBL SSE, should I miss the pre-order. That would be the price of collecting a line with only 50 of each being produced.
