On the recent "Ask Sideshow" (11/18/09), my BTTF question was answered. (I had submitted the question last month and was glad to see it finally answered)

Has Sideshow ever considered pursuing the “Back to the Future” license? Even without the likeness of Michael J Fox, next year for the 25th Anniversary of the franchise some BTTF figures, statues and busts would be great. A Doc Brown figure or statue alone would be worth it!

While we do love Back to the Future, it’s not a property that we’re pursuing at the moment.

Hopefully some other company will consider it.

HUGE shame. I was really hoping we'd see a Doc and Marty PF for the 25th Anniversary. They'd sell well enough. I don't think they'd have much problem selling at least 500 of each character. Maybe more...

Sideshow really needs to get there act together, like you guys say Premium formats would sell for sure with the 25 year anniversary

Bttf is one of the best Sci-fi trilogy's of all time , and it can easely compete with The alien & terminator francise

and for the record, i went to see a man today to buy a Real delorean
beatifull on the outside , but the engine needs work & his price is to high

damn shame , but i will see what i can do to buy it :D:D:D:D

Just Wow!
Forget the 1:1 Endoskeleton. This is the ULTIMATE Movie Grail collectible for me!

well , if he is not sold by the end of this year, he's going to give me a verry good price , so i think it can be mine after newyear

There should be a FAQ posted at the top of every collectibles forum dealing with "dream" licenses.

It's been stated over and over again that Michael J Fox is unwilling to license his likeness for collectibles. Ergo, no BTTF stuff. DST was able to do Minimates because there was hardly a likeness there at all. MJF almost seems as afraid of BTTF as John Cusack is of Say Anything. He was on Jimmy Kimmel a few months ago and they talked a bit about the BTTF con, and MJF seemed a bit puzzled by all the interest and a bit wary of how crazy the fans were about it.
