The Trees are just fine IMO.

They really are fine. The tree on Bag End is amazing, even the underneath of it is sculpted very finely.

How can you say they look like blobs when you haven't seen them in person?

They're far from a 'blob of green sculpt'

Unless the owner or onlooker likes looking at their stuff from 6 inches or less away there should be NO COMPLAINTS...and if you are one of these that do examine stuff from 6 inches away just build it yourself then...I cannot complain about any of the Weta or SS/Weta environments...They are great for what they represent!....end of story...

I bet if you positioned the Bilbo figure far enough in front of Bag End, you could take an awsome perspective picture that wouldl make Bag End just far look like it was far behind Bilbo.

I might just try that in about a month, when I have my new camera.

I absolutely love that display. It's so much different than what I typically see.

So question for those with the Collectors' Edition:

How much can you really appreciate the room details when displayed normally?

The rooms are an impressive feature, no doubt, but short of putting it on a turn table or glass case whose back is not against a wall, it seems the rooms (other than the peek inside tehf ront door) are inevitably masked.

my collector's edition is now in a display cabinet so i can see the inside of Bag End and the front on the other side of the glass

As it is now, i can't see the rooms unless i move it around myself, but that doesn't bother me. A turntable in time would be good though.

What was the collectors edition price? I saw on the Weta web site 320$ and on reviews sites 250$? How much was it?


On ebay, 110$ for oe and 400$ for ce. Wow big difference. That's a lot of money for just viewing rooms when you turn sometimes your environment. For the difference i should invest in another environment like rivendell oe.
