The Bandai PG Falcon arrived yesterday afternoon and even though I've seen it before, it still is one impressively engineered kit.

It still is hard to believe that it actually snaps together. I'll certainly be utilizing model glue on most of the build, as well as repainting and adding additional lighting and detailing.

Wow some really nice Falcon builds in here! You're really making me want to pick one of these up myself now. I was putting together the FM Falcon a few years back but got frustrated with the lack of accuracy and with having to make corrections or track down better parts. And before that I had tried modding the old ERTL kit to be more accurate. So it would be nice to finally a great looking Falcon kit that I can just put together and paint.

Only problem is I know it would still be a massive project, and I have a ton of 1/6 mods and projects I still want to get to as well. :(

What a beauty!
I wish I could just buy one out right from someone who's tired of it or has run out of space at home.

i am MORE than happy to build and finish one for someone!! i really miss it!! it was SO FUN!! here is a pic of three falcons... the Bandai 1/72, and two Hasbro falcons i painted for pals!!

And to think, the Deagostini Falcon is almost twice the size of this one. Can't wait to finish the Deagostini after looking at these pics in here.

Bandai PG Vs EFX

Given that the EFX is open box ready and it's diecast, it's really not too bad far away. But of course it's in a different league compared to the PG. The size difference is no joke either.

Yeah I said that when the EFX was released, they are almost cartoonish.

Went to Disney today and took some photos of the falcon at launch bay.

Are you saying efx is better or Bandai pg?

Well obviously from the picture it's not even a close contest. But the PG isn't exactly open box ready and a poor modeler can very easily ruin the piece.

Going to have to drag this thread back to life as I finally got mine painted by the amazingly talented PetethePaint :)
